Oh, for fuck's sake.  Out of all 50 states and thousands of arenas in which to hold a rally, the Trump Administration selects the location of a horrific massacre and picks the date of the celebration of the end of slavery.

Either they have absolutely no clue about history and don't really give a damn about optics, or they are being intentional with their choices and intend to offend.

And, fuck you for being personally offended when I point out how far you've fallen and how you don't like having your willful ignorance pointed out.  Snowflake.
They moved the date leaving only the venue to offend. So why is it an offense to hold an event in Tulsa 100 years after  a horrific massacre?

BTW...Juneteenth is a celebration of the end of slavery, the pinnacle achievement of the Republican party.

Yup, it’s absurd to think trump is a racist piece of shit that panders to racist pieces of shit like you, and that you both really love jerking off to offended libs. Totally funny and absurd... that you’ve done it for four years.
Stay classy MJ

??

It's "absurd" that a lot of people find first-degree arson and mass murder as reflecting badly on the people who committed it? Kind of like the way many people denigrate those who run concentration camps?

That's not absurd at all.

You're a racist piece of trash. The modern GOP pissed on Lincoln decades ago.

Really, the GOP sold out the rights of African-Americans with the admin of Andrew Johnson . .

It is no exaggeration to write that it is because of Johnson and the GOP,  the South lost the Civil War, but "won" the peace.

"Won", that is, with a century of terror and Jim Crow.

Johnson really should have been impeached, and it shames me that the one US Senator who cast the deciding to in acquit

was from the town where I live.

the Black Codes and Jim Crow, making sure that the Best Americans could count on cheap labor even if the folks providing it were "free".

May his name live in infamy - (He was born and lived in Ohio)

Edmund Gibson Ross was a politician who represented Kansas after the American Civil War and was later governor of the New Mexico Territory. His vote against convicting President Andrew Johnson of "high crimes and misdemeanors" allowed Johnson to stay in office by the margin of one vote.

Good read . . where I learned a lot of this sort of thing (only recently - should have known it sooner. My bad.)

Of all the venues, they picked one in the precise location blacks were massacred on a massive scale.  That is either a demonstration of being completely oblivious or finger in the eye.  You can pretend it isn't what it is, but that is just you being you new dickish self.

As for the Republican Party ending slavery.  Yep.  The old incarnation of the Republican Party did that.  The new incarnation is busy closing polling stations in majority black areas.  You are one of the useful idiots who think the GOP of today is aligned with the Republican Party of the 1860s.

* Tulsa has a reliably angry bunch Trumpistas to calm Trump before he pops an artery...that being Priority One.

* ROK is a small arena, but Tulsa's largest. Other cities have bigger arenas but filling them is doubtful. Empty seats would make WH life impossible.

* Tulsa residents have nothing to lose, which fits with the campaign slogan: "VOTE TRUMP: What have you got to lose?"

Lots of Oklahoma connections

The well known spiritual song “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" was written by Wallace Willis, a slave affectionately known as “Uncle. Wallace” in Oklahoma in the 1863.

The song is popular with English soccer and rugby fans and sung by many who have had no awareness of its origins or sensitivities up until now. The fact that they do now is pretty cool.

This version sung by a Dutch group of Choral Singers at a festival in Basque Country in Spain.
