Registrations are now open and the the Notice of Race for The Storm Trysail Club's 25th Block Island Race Week has been posted on the event at Yacht Scoring at http://www.yachtscor...enu.cfm?eID=739. The Regatta Regulations can also be found on the regatta website.

The Storm Trysail Club is very excited about the 25th anniversary of one of the few remaining "true race weeks" left in North America. Several Classes have committed to North American and Regional Championships for this Silver Anniversary of Block Island Race Week.

Geez, I was there in '65 doing bow on a Cal 40. Drank my first Mount Gay. Got my first Mount Gay hat.

Damn I feel old.

(Of course, back then every skipper got a free bottle of Mount Gay in their goody bag. I graciously volunteered for the task of putting the bottles in the bags.)

Did my first in '73. We anchored about 100' off of Champlans. I must confess that I feel it has gotten way too big and that there are far too many people on what was once a lovely little island.
