I would like to build my own Blokart. I looked through the search function and found a couple of ideas. Have any of you sone this? Do you have plans, ideas, recomendations... They look like a lot of fun but are way to expensive. So I would like to build one on the cheap (But not Ghetto) Any help would be very cool. Thanks.

board rig, some tubes, a welder or some bolts, some wheels, a shed, a weekend, some beer - job done!

rescue some old bikes from your local recycling centre. this will give you free wheels, axles, steering assembly etc.

This thread is right on time for me! I have been thinking of doing this for the last 2 weeks.

I have some old Hobie 14 sails although they may be too big.

Only problem I see is that if you go over, instant road rash. I would image you can pick up speed pretty fast in these.

That's one of the down sides to the disappearance of "blue laws". There used to be huge expanses of abandoned parking lots on Sundays; not everything is open 24/7. Where do you get to run these things any more?

probably yes. i think the upper half of one can be ok. depending, of course, of the kind of wind you have where you'd sail it.
