@Dog 2.0 isn’t interested in if his ideas are constitutional or legal, those are stupid details. He can’t be bothered to learn about what he is legislating or consider protecting all citizens, just his precious opinion.

Yes, which is why you need to understand mental health diagnoses and have constructive interactions with transgender people before making up your mind on the issue.
The obvious problem is that ignorant bigots rarely have a good impact on transgender kids, so I’d prefer they just mind their own fucking business and keep their distance.

First off, stop bagging on George, I wanted to be a Marine Biologist too! (Jason & I have exact same birthday, figures, I was stuck with the goddamn Ironworkers).
The fun & interesting part of this discussion is the normal/abnormal dynamic, so...
I have never set foot on a sail powered vessel of any type, so I'm normal (& abnormal for being here).
I also have a half inch sterling silver ring thru my left nostril, so...? (also have 2 in the left ear & 1 on the right, & once sported a five eighths ring thru the right nip, it kept getting sore & swollen so I pulled that one). The nose ring inspiration came from my former hairstylist, she had one I always admired, these days I tune up my 14 inch long "lazy hawk" myself, way cheaper.
Registered for Seattle's anime convention despite my advanced years...so? (BTW, anyone one wondering about the TRIGUN reboot, watch it!) I intend to cosplay as a self created character I call "Random Goth", my super villain powers include, dressed in black, wear a tophat, & my nails are painted black with a lighting bolt (going to the pros for that!)
And now to give credit where it's due, was a little taken aback by d2.0's response to the question on "gender assignment" for babies born with "ambiguous genitalia", I too take the wait & see view on this as well, of course my opinion is somewhat colored by a particular hentai fetish (weirdly the trans girl that used to work at my closest grocery recognized that I was advertising for Dulce Report on one of my self decorated jackets & was stoked by that? Been told that Futanari is considered a slur for trans folk).
If you consider yourself "normal" do not even consider doing searches on anything mentioned in this post.

And I stand by it. It ain’t ad hominem to call you closed minded when you refuse to acknowledge the legitimacy of transgenders to hold their beliefs.
Lots of religions, definitely including those predominantly practiced by Americans, involve some pretty unique and unsupportable fantastical beliefs. I see no reason to accommodate these groups into society and not accommodate transgenders. Both religious beliefs and transgenders permit and even encourage body modification involving the genitalia of juveniles, so that’s not a real good point of distinction.
We can’t compare brain sizes (your words) until we have a common basis for discussion. Your ideology prevents us from having a substantive conversation about actual groups of people with honest, earnestly held beliefs.
Once you open your mind and allow other people to think what they want we can chat. But until then you are a closed-minded bigot.
But you may well be smart within your group. Go play in your safe space, just don’t force others to live there restricted by the same shackles you call normal.
