Missing BOLO!!!!! My best friend SV Bella Dawn Ward Stogdill is lost at sea between biscayne and Bimini/Bahamas in a 1978 Ta Shing Baba 30 with a wooden mast (has an orange kayak on deck).

If folks are concerned that “once” may have either ended already or may be close to its conclusion, it probably isn’t the right time for those words. 
  Even if you meant no malice, it is certainly understandable you are being accused of insensitivity.

I took secs comment to mean that if he's gone at least he was doing something fulfilling.

After only a week I'd say he's probably still on his way, just stopped in some hidey hole and looking around for a covid test site and still has to collect his results before continuing on.

Pretty hard to just lose a Baba 30.

I would think the biggest issue would be the old wood mast, hopefully he's just adrift but ok.

Mast was fully redone on the ground 2 years ago.
