I've got to laugh, Rishi the man who totally threw 4.2M self employed under his bus wheels during Covid, the man who wears £ 400.00 Loafers onto a building site, the man who will change his tune depending on what the PR men say more than even David Cameron, you get my drift, no chance and why he has bothered to prolong the leadership campaign being so far behind constantly, you got to be totally obsessed with your own view in the mirror.
You do like supporting losers.

If you really support Truss, then she's just a lesser degree of loser.
It is kind of ironic that Conservatives spent almost a decade blaming 'the mess left by the previous Labour government' rather than a global recession, and now they're falling foul of the same thing.

Sure, I said Sunak "as lesser of two evils". Truss is just fresh meat for the parliamentary party to rip to pieces in the months to come. Never before has a PM been installed with so little backing from their own MPs. It won't end well.

Sadly I've got to agree, where's Farage and his new new new next party, that would wake up the woke brigade enough to vote for Starmer who in all honesty is worse than both Rishi and Truss. Now that would put our political leaders in full context Starmer, Truss / Rishi , leader of the Lib Dems who is so obscure, who is he and Farage

It was never predicted by you or anyone else that a Covid Pandemic would totally upend the labour markets. Sure we are importing more workers that we need in a controlled way, whats wrong with that, thats just basic supply and demand. But now we as a democracy can pick and choose, previously it was the employers who simply tapped the low wage labour pool, leaving the tax payer to pick up the bill for the Schools and Hospitals needed for those workers and their families.
Heres an interesting article on the present difficulties and the record lows of unemployment across the whole of the EU despite a recession and energy crisis.

It said that while employers have faced recruiting difficulties and high vacancy rates across various occupations, “the pandemic, international sector-specific labour shortages, and an increase in early retirement” had been more important factors than Brexit.
As to my views that we need to reduce the urge of Employers to go first to the minimum wage labour pool and only then mechanise if they cannot operate without that abundance of cheap labour, then surely now is the moment when those Employers have to mechanise to survive. That will take time however to sink into the bean counters heads as energy costs rise and recessions loom across the entire world.

But worse than Rish and Truss? Nah I don't think so.
He might be boring, but he is at least principled and for the most part honest, even if you don't agree with those principles, the way that Truss and Rishi talk about the last government, you'd never think they were a part of it.
Starmer is a relatively safe pair of hands, full, but at least dependable.

Nowhere in the whole report it has been said that other factors were more important then Brexit as stated by that magazine.

You should try and burn the Celotex of today, almost totally inflammable, in 2017 you could put it on your bonfire and watch it ignite with the mearest hint of a bit of flame. Also note for almost 3 months after Grenfell magically there was a Celotex shortage in the UK, apparently one of plants producing it had production problems, very coincidental of course

Yes indeed. The Tories were keen to join the “common market” as they saw it as a foil against the socialist policies of Labour and necessary to rescue UK from years of failed Labour governments wreaking economic havoc on the UK. At the time the EEC was seen to be a free market enterprise.

No one ever used the phrase Britanina Rules the World. Certainly no one today does. What we can say is that UK influence today far outweighs our tiny population. In the short period since Brexit we’ve shown how a dynamic independent country can embarrass a large bureaucratic machine when it comes to vaccine procurement and roll out and with regard to foreign policy UK has dominated the European responce to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The collective “might” of the EU/Germany/France etc has shown to wholly disjoint and ineffective

Off course they can move more swiftly. Duh. That's the way the system is created in the UK, with its 2 party disaster.
To make a long story short: UK and EU are in a hard place right now. It's better to cooperate than to blame each other for political reasons.
Let's see if Truss will take this route or that we will see bickering about N-I for populist reasons. Off course, the French are not any better.
