you just beat me to it, was just on the news overhere too, but another funny one concerning Eurostar : last monday was walking around Paris Nord waiting for the TGV to Brussels and when passing the Eurostar entrance had a good laugh seeing that there is a guard standing at that entrance continuously holding a board which informs us that due to British legislation it is strictly forbidden to take any historical army artefacts on the train, even if it is just ornamental and fake, haven't seen that one on the ferries yet, but what a nice job for that man !

Germany and France's lack of support for Ukraine and frankly their meaningless words to Russia are a disgrace. These are EU's largest military "powers" and want to centralise military and foreign policy in Brussels where they would control everything. France has given roughly 10% of UK's military aid (4bn vs 500m) and Germany's shameless stalling on tanks is now the subject of cartoons ridiculing them.

I guess whilst the EU keeps the money tree printing presses rolling then the smoke and mirrors will only keep the Euro alive for the moment. But what will happen when inevitably the QE will have to dry up, should be interesting times in the EU when the begging bowls go out to the likes of the Netherlands.

133B is a tad less than the 3.4T in the ECB’s books. At least we can pay our own debt. Now the Netherlands is probably only one of three EU countries able to throw in a few euros, so glad your tax payers are up for the 1T of the other 23 countries bar bill.
