No that is that Shackle guy on Ocean Racing Anarchy .............................wait a minute !!He is the dumbest person to ever post on SA, and I mean that factually!
That’s a bit harsh Clean, I thought Jack Sparrow had that title 😄He is the dumbest person to ever post on SA, and I mean that factually!
A pleasant thought but no, he isn't.His retreat too calling people furriners rather than addressing any of the points they make tempts me to think he's a brexit parody account.
Cobblers. Just total and utter cobblers.
Everybody with half a brain knows that if the message from the leave campaign had been "it will take 10 years to see the benefits" you never would have won.
To blame Sunak is hilarious, he was a committed brexiter. This is what you voted for. For people like him to be in charge and to enact their version of Brexit. You may have your nebulous ideas of what a perfect brexit looks like, but you're not dealing in reality at all if you think it was ever even remotely likely that it would go well. The
As to the "should have been a simple will of the people". That's the biggest lie of the lot. There never was a simple will of the people because Brexit meant so many different things to so many different groups of people who voted for it.
Ermmmm the message from Leave campaign was exactly that, benefits would accrue over time - basically via regulatory divergence and doing things to suit us.
Democracy did not win. The electorate did not get what they voted for and the process byc which it was achieved was dishonest and flawed.Obviously in the short term (we have only really been out for 2 Covid disrupted years) we have saved some £200bn in contributions and Covid recovery fund plus dodged €750bn in joint liability for new EU debt. Of course we have the best and fastest vaccine rollout whilst EU floundered in absolute chaos boasting about paying less which is as much use as a chocolate teapot in the midst of a global pandemic.
We voted to Leave the EU and we've done that democracy won. That is hugely important. The "deal" we have is poor as we should never have signed the NIP and we'd be far better off under WTO than the current nonsense. ...
You’re sounding more and more like the bitter divorcee who didn’t get the house and dog having never putting anything into the kitty.. You won by foul means and hiding behind lies just demobstrates your moral vacuity.
If you’re still clinging to the lie that Brexit enabled what we did with vaccine then it’s quite obvious that you simply are not interested in the truth.Ermmmm the message from Leave campaign was exactly that, benefits would accrue over time - basically via regulatory divergence and doing things to suit us. Sunak voted Leave but I would hardly say he was a committed Brexiteer.
Of course I'm bitter: I lost freedoms, rights, prospects and more in the "divorce".You’re sounding more and more like the bitter divorcee who didn’t get the house and dog having never putting anything into the kitty.
So what are you going to do about what you percieve as your personal loss ? Oh I know, spend hours and hours whinging on some sailing forum where anyone who has the temerity to have a differing opinion is considered to be of a lower calibre, despite the fact and it is fact, they have called all the shots correctly so far, unlike yourself.Of course I'm bitter: I lost freedoms, rights, prospects and more in the "divorce".
Where you're analogy falls down is the never putting anything in- I was invested in the UK, politically, financially, culturally; and those investments are being squandered by the con artists that stole them from me.
So, yes; I'm angry and I'm bitter. I think it would actually be easier to live with if the broad church of brexiteers had anything of value to show for it.. if there was a net gain for the wider population but no, as a nation (or as four) we are worse off financially, culturally, politically, educationally, scientifically... it's an endless list.
Brexit Unicorns. Did you know that the national animal of Scotland is the unicorn?
Ironic.
Nah, more like entertainment with a big dose of the truth.Trolling
Correct, but neither can you.Brexiteers had all the answers in 2016, but you can’t question it in 2023 it seems.
Nah, more like entertainment with a big dose of the truth.
Before I do, was that the 'revelation' that the shelf life of a lettuce was longer than that of a sitting PM perchance ?the great lettuce revival doesn't mean anything to you, don't bother.
Nah surely not, how long did it take to work that out considering the media of the last few days ?Edit: Read it. It's a parody on Auntie Liz, yes?![]()
