"Inside Europe's Parliament of Bullies" (this from the ultra pro EU Politico. Widespread bully and sexual harassment, slow and ineffective "investigations". Add this to the rampant corruption.
You've got plenty of perverts and kiddy fiddelers in Westminster so don't pain your little brain about what happens on the continent :ROFLMAO:

So funny.

Bashing the POMs is like a national sport in Australia. If the deal was so bad they shouldn't have signed it. I didn't hear the Ozzies complaining too much when they took British nuclear submarine technology over inferior French design they had originally decided to buy

Fundamentally the majority of Conservative MPs are against Brexit and their 2019 voters know it. They have quickly forgotten the beating that voters gave them in the EuroParl elections after Theresa Mays disastrous capitulation. That's why the Tories are going to be crushed at the next general election. The Tories won't get back into power until they become a truly pro-Brexit party. Voters won't allow a future Labour government to rejoin or even move substantially closer to EU and the CPTPP prevents any Customs Union or Single Market Membership anyway

I suppose that nuclear subs are the same as non nuclear, so you have clearly researched the subject ...
The nuclear powered subs from Australia have an interesting impact on New Zealand. Since we banned all nuclear powered ships and nuclear weapons from our waters in 1984, we were no longer considered to be an ally of the USA until they recently reinstated us.

So funny.

Whats even funnier is that Australia thinks they will export more beef to us, yeah right, when beef is more expensive than the UK. Whats even funnier is that we can now import all we like from Argentina which is about 40% of the price of Australian beef. Talk about Pome bashing under delusion but then thats a tad typical of the Aussies, can't wait for the Ashes this year, should be interesting ?

Whats even funnier looking at the world global market prices, is virtually every EU country is even more expensive than the UK, I guess thats what a closed market does.

I'm sure Jack / Fiji Bitter, the worlds leading BS artist on this will have other views as his so called fictious family wealth is based on Australian beef being sent abroad, not any longer it would seem.

Sorry chap, you are rejoining every week a little bit.
Yup, took forty years last time so I'm not yet worried.

Two decades is my guess.

You were remarking on the democratic deficit in the EU or in EU countries.
Better look at home;

The Government lost a vote in the Lords on the Public Order Bill to change the interpretation of ‘serious disruption’ of other people’s day-to-day activities to mean ‘anything more than minor’ on 7th February.
But they are now trying to reinsert this change via secondary legislation which has less Parliamentary scrutiny and cannot be amended.

It is the first time ever that the government has tried to use secondary legislation to directly overturn the will of Parliament.
Baroness Jones has tabled a fatal motion to kill off the passage of the government’s legislation which will trigger a vote in the Lords on 13th June.

But so far there has been very little media coverage of it.

“This is a make-or-break moment for parliamentary democracy”, Baroness Jones said. “The Lords defeated the government on this issue and the Minister is now acting like a seventeenth-century monarch by using a decree to reverse that vote.

Punch-drunk Britain. New post on my Brexit & Beyond Blog. Lost investment, falling fruit exports, looming import controls, food inflation, DP divergence, HE visa restrictions. Just another week of Brexit news but how much more can punch-drunk Britain take? https://chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2023/05/punch-

Keep your chin up:

"The UK remains Europe’s most attractive destination for financial services investment, extending its lead"

"Anna Anthony, UK Financial Services Managing Partner at EY, comments: “The strength of the UK financial market has meant that – even through challenging times – investors see it as the most attractive European financial services market. A lot has happened in the seven years since the EU referendum, and the UK has faced strong competition from its closest competitors. Our research shows that investors recognise the strength, gold-standard governance and resilience of the UK’s financial system and see it as the preferred destination for growth, innovation and access to top talent."

Enst and Young says.... our research says ....gullible. They publish this story every year in the same words since 2018. Copy paste, lazy bastards.

In the EU there is a sentiment to spread financial services, Amsterdam, Milan, Paris, Frankfurt etc. So EY should compare total investment UK and EU. And they are loosing out.
Milan success is a nice story.

Of course there were "EU Laws" the meaning is quite clear. The UK was legally bound to "photocopy" 1000s of EU laws. The UK had no ability to reject or modify any of them. They were made in Brussels and proposed and drafted by people we didn't vote for

I see Rees Mogg is getting knighted in Bozza's leaving honours list. What's that for? Services for being a total c*nt?
Rewards for people that have been a total and utter failure seems de rigueur in Blighty. Looks like Rishi's integrity, professionalism and accountability is out of the window.
