I hope you are right. So far it’s been a lot of large boats - many who have gone or are planning to go to places like Covos-Keeling
From Southern Indonesia to South Africa our 45' was above average size. There was an interesting age/LOA correlation with quite small (<32') and cheap boats for the under 35 group and somewhat bigger/pricier boats for older folks. Not quite the one foot of length per year of age rule I read about a long time ago but a bit similar. With the one foot rule I should have a 74' (with crew of course) but I have down-sized to a 30' which is much more manageable and affordable.

Arrived Nice yesterday. Haven’t looked at boats yet, but did find le desserte “Cruisine”. Possibly the largest lemon meringuee pie in the world.

How many of the French boats are bright yellow hard chine metal boats?

You see a lot of Brits. You can tell Brits because they all have weathercloths with their boat name in big letters.

Germans don't have families aboard - Germany doesn't really do home schooling and it's a big impediment to cruising with your family.

A fair portion, but lots of medium age beneteaus as well. There is a segment of younger French families who have gained some wealth early and have bought some kind of condo-cat.

The Americans are usually, but not always, the “New Balance” crowd and the kids are grown up.
