Britain replaces a PM - the process unfolds with considerable alacrity

I suppose you're allowed to act like a lovestruck pony club member over Mr Johnson
Why is it some posters here are so infantile that they have to bring their kiddie veiws on this thread down to their primary school boy level. ShortFor Bob you certainly seem to not get anything about Johnson and I'm guessing that as you're an Aussie and have no real interaction with the UK, you're just another keyboard warrior hack who needs to get off your computer more.

Now when have I ever said "I think I love Boris" ? Sorry I thing he is one of the ruling elite twats that sadly operates in our political world. But one thing for sure he is charismatic, enchants where ever he goes and if you speak to anyone who has spent time with him, can be of great charm and intelligence. Its just sadly all the minor lifestyle detail ( Carrie ) and that lifetime ability to charm the knickers off who ever he sets his sights on, that he is what he is, a likeable buffoon that gets to places no others can. Talk about highlighting what most of our politicians are now guilty of, short term popularity at the expediency of long term country gain.

I have to admit I did vote for Boris at the last election, but that was simply to get Brexit done and Corbyn sent to where he belongs, the bottom of the pile. Is there anything wrong in that ?

Actually she's a fucking Pom like you who was involuntarily transported to Australia as a child.

Other than that, you've got it pretty much right.

About that alacrity thing:
Boris Johnson risks sparking a Donald Trump-style challenge to U.K. democracy unless he “abandons” his attempt to stay in office, a leading member of Johnson’s Conservative Party has warned.
Steve Baker accused the outgoing prime minister of “encouraging” his supporters to believe he may be able to continue in Downing Street.

It was reported last night that Johnson is supporting attempts by Conservative donor and peer Lord Cruddas to give party members a vote on whether to reject his resignation.

Uninspiring individual. Sunak at least seemed competent before the race to be the most reactionary heated up once it was down to just the pair of them. Poison pill for whoever got in. Good for the tories the opposition is headed by a centrist beige nothing, maybe they won't lose the next election.

Odd fact about Boris...
He's probably in real terms the poorest net worth Prime Minister we've ever had.. at about £1.75 million
The opposition Starmer (with his wife,) is worth about £15 million and Corbyn about £3 million.
Theresa May £4 million
D Cameron £40 million
G Brown £12 million
T Blair £52 Million
J Major £40 Million
M Thatcher £8 Million
J Callaghan £2 million
Harold Wilson.. £1.5 million but in todays terms £11 million

I thought she was good on the show Suits but I wouldn't choose her to be part of a heriditary system of government.
So would you have a showman like Rishi the Dishi promising all things tough, but like David Cameron will change his mind depending on his PR thinking of the day. Or wooden top Liz, who at least is not tainted by an Eton education and seems to piss the Eton brigade off by her directness of getting to the point.

Seem to remember one M Thatcher being a totally wooden orator to begin with, but look how that turned out, plenty of positives over a lot of years and an awful lot of people owning their own house that would never have ever thought due to their upbringing, being able to.

I'm tired of the Eton showmen being at the top, time for a change, pity Wallace or Mordaunt didn't make it through. But then who would want to put their hands up to volunteeer at this moment, talk about a poison challice.

Have a very surface level familiarity with any of them. Charisma is a perceived quality, I thought Truss had very little of it (in my limited exposure) which makes her seem a bit thick. Happy to be proven wrong.

Hope she guides the UK well.

So what you are saying is that you are just another armchair computer twat willing to put in writing what ever on the vaguest of intuition, gleaned from nothing but vague internet mumurings.

Bet your hero is Jack Sparrow.

No, you twat. He's wishing you well.

I have no idea who your hero is, but he's sure to be an asshole.
