The Whitebread is a 35 mile day race the second week of October starting in New Suffolk (Peconic Bay) and racing around Shelter Island. It drews over 100 boats and has a huge party afterwards with lots of food and beer and a live band. I think they're up to Whitebread XVI. See PBSA.net for details.I think the Chinese the yacht club is a "paper" yacht club setup decades ago for racing.
What is this "Whitebread, which is a big race on eastern Long Island" or are you referring to Rock2Rock?
Snag , I see you do much better with short one word answers
