May be we will finish better next time ...
I'm wondering if next time is now. Did you start over? It looks like you are still racing, but at a slightly higher ranking than before.

I'm currently blasting along in three knots of wind, so you might even catch up with me. Or maybe you could come out of the med and escort a few of us back to Barcelona? :D

Congratulations to Claudia and for all of the Boteco1 Sailing Team The Brazilian girl beat in a virtual Open 60 everybody during the double handed Barcelona World Race

All the weather odds of real racing were thrown at her for nearly 2 month 24/7

Beating everybody can mean a lot of things:

over 7000 registrants

over 2000 properly racing

several old salts incl. our own OCEANPLANET who unfortunately started several days late

Totally agreed!

Congratulations for beating it to the finish line. Well done, bloody hard racing.

RIP mouse

But see... it's always been more than a two-fingered race :D

Balms and I are sailing like the exact same course but I'm a little more west. Since Fernando we've been parallel, turning at the same times and by basically the same amounts. It's kind of freaky...
I just had a look, Dramling - you're right, the courses are freakishly similar! There are a few kinks that are mirrored which are the strangest:

Well I've choked
After a week or to of having a bit on, I am now back in the late 1700's.

I checked in last week and was 1480...BUGGER
Don't give up. I was in the lates 1800's 2 days ago now in the mid 1400's.

1446 and steady for the day.

Wind was down to 3.3 knots for a couple of hours today in the doldrums back up to 7.6 a few hours later.

Finally got past cranky. :D

Oh my... would never have thought to get my mum to sailing. But here she is and helping me/getting up with me every 40 mins to get the freaking boat (sailvoss) through the Street!

Yay, rank 481! And we're going to beat them to the finish line... well, something around 300 or 250 is still in reach!

oh werd I finished 575. Just what I've been aiming for since Gibraltar. 89d 6h 23m

EDIT: The rankings page says 560 but it's wierd. like half the results are finished and half racing per page....nvm the main thing says 560 also. I wonder what I'll do now to occupy my time.

I made up 63 spots overnight, im pretty proud of that! hoping to get round Cape Horn within 100 day of the start, but i might get there on wednesday if i keep this pace up!

I finished his moring but sadly I wasn´t at the helm when I crossed the line. Last time I checked my boat was 00:12 GMT today. Deckman calcutated a ETA of +02:40 h for the last roundabout 15 miles. So I changed to the Genoa, fixed the tiller on 026 and crawled into my bed  At this time my rang was 568. Big surprise one hour ago when LS told my that I finished as 548 but not total time or finish time shown.

@ dramling: As we been sailing close together the last weeks I would like to ask you for your finish time?

Cheers from Berlin
