Thanks for reminding me that Canada exists. Nearly forgot again.

How's the confiscation of battlefield .22's going anyway? I'd check but have trouble caring enough to check.

That list will expand . They always do, (to include 10/22)
^from June.

, and now, it's the hunting rifles, too.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says that while the federal government is not trying to go after the right to hunt through contentious gun control legislation, the Liberals "are going at some of the guns used to do it."

Trudeau said that this is because some of these firearms "are too dangerous in other contexts."

, mentioned upthread, is the remote northern people often depend on moose as a significant part of their yearly "food budget" ,,

, and the fact that the criminal gun thief gangs are seeing greatly increased profit margins by stealing them here in US, and taking them north to sell to Canukistani criminals.

I don't know where you've been, but that's been going on for years and years.
The biggest problem for Canada is the proliferation of gun smuggling from the Americanos.

There is no discussion with guns because there is no logic - and manufacturers are going to make money where they can. Currently the US is providing everyone south of the border with all the best tools for ending human lives including sponsoring guns for everyone in Brazil. For any 2A guys feeling put upon check out the gun forums on Quora, bringing up anything less than ARs for everyone is like discussing Jesus with the JWs. I made a response in one of those threads and now I am afraid of guns and people and don't understand that there is nothing wrong with owning ARs and why they are awesome and better than anything, and I could go on but then remember why I normally avoid any topic that might entail some controls and reforms leading to long run on sentences and pointless attempts at discussions.

Pandemic got in the way, and some re-evaluation after some northern hunters (Inuit) said one of their common hunting rifles was included.

We'll get to it, don't worry. We have enacted a lot of gun control legislation before.

Do you think the kids being shot for knocking on the wrong door or opening a wrong car door is acceptable?

Do you think if guns were required to be stored always unloaded, in a gun vault or safe, or secured with a trigger guard that such incidents would be minimized? Would a few minutes delay save lives and be worthwhile or should guns always be available, loaded, and ready to fire under all circumstances?
