The thing of it is, it will just make other people less patient when they do conventional civil disobedience that blocks traffic, etc.. I am not advocating running over them, but Emily Carr loved nature and indigenous culture-but she's the artist that is singled out for this treatment?

What has this to do with Canadian politics? Culture eats legislation for breakfast. The culture of Canada is against firearms. It is not viewed as a "God given right". There are no "God given rights". The social process of governance does not include the ability to own firearms in this case. Keep it on your side of the border for the US to deal with.

Funny I've thought that for years about the protestors who want to chain themselves to trees, heavy machinery, pipes, each other etc to protest <insert cause here>.
Just add your own locks & chains, set up a 24/7 video feed to a web site and leave them to it. See how long it takes before they're asking to be let go.
