Here is what I really like to know. Is there a German veto over the the use of Canadian Leopard 2 tanks in Ukraine? Funny how the Germans did not object at all when they were used to drive over Islamofascists in Afghanistan? Arguably, even those guys do not loot racoons and washing machines. Does Zelensky not want them because of some tactical reason? Does JT not want to gift some of them for some reason? Are they needed at Gagetown for some important tactical reason? I absolutely get it that what I pay in taxes would not buy even one, but I still thought they were my tanks.

Those are good boats that in the beginning were run by rookies. The most important person in terms of the boat are the Chief of Boat whatever they are called. There were not a lot left at the end of the O-Boat program.

Yes, Upholders are just as good boats as the diesel-electric boats operated by Japan or Taiwan. That they have not necessarily thrived in Canadian service, is down to lack of continuity in RCN culture. If the RCN ever wanted an aircraft carrier with actual jetplanes again, it would be a steep learning curve regardless of how good the boat was.
Yes lots of arms sales comes with "you can't resell agreements". So Canada would have to get German agreement to provide to Ukraine. We only have 82 Leopard IIs according to WIkipedia.

If the local police had stepped up early and took action, it would have never been required.

The fact is; not tanks, but military engineers were posited as the solution to moving the truckers after the actual tow truck operators demurred. I shouldn't really say truckers here, because apparently the trucks tended to be farm trucks that would be usually idle that time of year.
