Wet coast.
Weird.  The video showed the helicopter hovering above the deck of the tanker recovering crew in a basket.  Why didn't they just land the helicopter on the deck?

Guess my question is why wasn't there some type of fire suppression system in the cargo bay or put the ship in "battle-stations" and seal off all bulkheads and contain it?  Don't they have a crew on the ship that is trained for this stuff?

according to a shipping expert, the inside of a RORO is basically hollow as it it nothing but a floating commercial garage.  They have retractable curtains to try to divide the sections, but evidently are not airtight enough to cut off the oxygen.

all power is gone.  Not a good time to climb into a rolling box that is pitch black and its own fire pumps inoperative to fight a fire.  Salvagers are going to earn their pay.

Question is what was the source an EV car in which case pour on water may not be a good idea.

Seems like one would want to design a fire suppression system that has its own power supply for events such as this...

Did the crew just run? Are they French?

I bet the Porsche, Lambo, and Bentley owners to be were worried about some careless deckhand scratching their new cars.  I wouldn't mind having the job of letting them know what happened.
