Depends on who will allow it in. I've heard Portugal or the Bahamas. Azores can't, ship is too big it would block the dock for other ships needed for trade.Hopefully out of the environment...

Not yet. I just think it's better to be proactive than reactive. The front's still on, is that really necessary?
Ah, remember when car carriers were actually shippy looking.thats a lot of eggs in one basket and one butt ugly basket
There's a very good reason the Brits don't make cars any more. Back in 1980 they foresaw the conversion to EV and decided that their most iconic British vehicle feature - dripping oil on your garage floor - would not be possible any more. Not to mention their rather patchy history of electrical component reliability (a man's go to know his limitations). So they went into banking instead. Still no opportunity to drip oil or burn insulation, but that's less of a customer expectation when moving money around. It's a little early to get sentimental about Lucas, isn't it?
My guess, the ships have fixed lanes of tie downs and each car is strapped down very securelyDumm Question: Are the cars somehow secured in place for the trip? Or is “da Bucket” stable enough in a seaway?
Yes. I would have photos of what happens when they break free, but my Google-fu is failing right now. Somewhere there are pics of a bunch of BMWs that were WRECKED after pinballing around inside for a while. Some were jammed in overhead beams well off the deck. Fun times for the crew, I’m sure!My guess, the ships have fixed lanes of tie downs and each car is strapped down very securely

Yes, and each car has tie down points built in. Every car is lashed and chalked thoroughly before departure. My guess, the ships have fixed lanes of tie downs and each car is strapped down very securely
Maybe they should rename the ship Proud Mary.
Only if the Big Wheel is still turning, tooMaybe they should rename the ship Proud Mary.
Mary must be proud too..Only if the Big Wheel is still turning, too

The video is not of the rescue from the Felicity Ace RO RO. It looks like a training exercise on the oil tanker Resilient Warrior. I hate it when journos use file footage that is totally unrelated to the story itself.Weird. The video showed the helicopter hovering above the deck of the tanker recovering crew in a basket. Why didn't they just land the helicopter on the deck?
As for Fire Suppression Systems not being Present (enough to put it out)
Could be that like a house fire
In a house that can be saved = small interior fire
All Too Often, The Part about Putting it out Fucks up the house more than the fire did
Not saying the water and Axes fuck up a house as much as the Fire wood/could have
But maybe that consideration was taken into consideration as those not wanting paint fucking foam on their BeantLeez and Portchez just because a VW was on fire whey over there
The dollar figure alone will be staggering, but the repercussions following this will be equally high. Firefighting systems need to be re-thought to deal with these lithium-ion batteries. The insurance side will also need a lot of re-vamping on the part of the insurers.Read some industry insiders are quoting $400,000,000 in losses.
Gotta take a lot of delivery charges to pay this clusterfuk off....
No doubt. Paying claims cuts into the profits big time! They hate that. The insurance side will also need a lot of re-vamping on the part of the insurers.
