I used to (long ago) work for a company with office & shop in a boatyard. We had a large box of 'loaner' tools. All the busted, stripped, defunct tools from the shop, and a large amount of things bought from the 99 cent bin at the supermaket. And some of the 'miracle' combination tools hawked on TV.
No hammers, we kept those for ourselves.

Of course ANY of these “loaners” can double as a hammer and most probably have (except screwdrivers which do double or triple duty as a pry bar or drift punch).

My club has a set of hand tools available for member use which are spray-painted red for identification and have been abused by members since the club opened in the late 1800s.
