Catamaran designers to buy plans from

Hi guys, I'm researching catamarans for a friend right now and i need your help finding designers who sell their plans to willing builders

Requirements are- foam samwich, <=40ft, enough space for 3 and hulls connected to bridgedeck.

so far i have found Schionning cats, Oram, DixDesign, WoodsDesigns, Lidgard YD
Right now the favorite is Arrow 1200 because of ease of construction and good price of plans, unfortunately interior needs some adjustments and one transverse rib needs to be modified(basically cut a hole in it ).

Please, if you have any other designers-tell me about them.

If you dig around a bit you might find a private entity with Farrier (cat) plans they are willing to sell. Obviously no mfg support anymore though.

The changes you want shouldn't be a problem, consult with Schionnings.
These boats are available as a pre-cut kit, which saves time building the shell.
They are designed for building in Duflex. It's expensive in Australia, where it's made. Add shipping and customs fees etc......

The guy lives by his ability and couple of grand saved can take you long ways

And if you think that if you are not able to pay up for a ready to sail vessel-you shouldn't even consider building one- piss off, im so goddamn tired of comments like this.

It is implied that well priced plans must have good reviews and\or fleet to be even be considered for purchase.

so uhh, how to find that entity and would i get sued for building a boat i have not officially purchased plans for?

Experience needed, he built a Farrier F32 before and his current plans are not as finished/detailed as the ones for the trimaran IIRC. But probably most plans are not quite as good, Ian had a lot of his boats built and refined the plans all the time.

That is probably not the thing to ask in a public forum, ya know...

...nothing like an aggressive stance, insults & deliberate misinterpretations to lend weight to one's arguments...

(& btw: having built my own Wharram cat in the seventies & subsequently circumnavigated it, I quite likely know more & for a bit longer than most (you?) what "building & sailing on a budget" means. But feel free to go ahead & show your "style" some more by posting insults)
