Charter in Bahamas

Evening folks,

Supposed to be attending a wedding in/around Nassau in late October. There's a group of us travelling together, two couples and four mates, and I'm keen to sell them on a yacht charter for 7-10 days. I'd like something in the 50'-60' range. Trying to avoid Sunsail et al.

Has anyone got suggestions of locations to charter from or companies they've used in the past? Was thinking of chartering out of somewhere less crowded than Nassau and taking the trip over myself.

Only bare boat charter outfit I know of in the Bahamas is Moorings in Marsh Harbor. If you look you can find captained charter boats in Nassau but am not aware of any bare boats available there, nor in the Exumas, and certainly not Andros or the Berrys.

There are several sailboats available for charter here in Nassau. no major provider like sunsail/moorings etc. †ry searching and you will find some or try a charter broker out of florida. For 8 guests, and a boat in that size range, you will most likely be getting into a crewed yacht, and I know two nice catamarans that might work.
