I tried feeding it some questions about politics such as "Why is Micheál Martin Tanaiste?", "Is Leo Varadkar Indian?" and "What did Mary McAleese do before becoming President?".

The bot made a good job of understanding the questions, but in every case the replies consisted mostly of sentences lifted unchanged from Wikipedia.
Ah, so indistinguishable from a Sophomore!

I guess my issue with this type of AI, that learns from the content that it is replacing, is that what happen in 5-10 years when most of the text it has access to was already written by itself? It's just so bad that this is the stuff we are doing with AI. We should be using to help us learn things, rather than do things for us. To help us solve problems we can't solve, not to just do things we do well already for us.

Never got Nick Cave. Appears to be a pretentious prick to me, and his Previous squeeze PJ Hervy.
That's okay. I never got Jimmy Buffett. Tho a friend in grad school based a master's thesis on his lyrics, so maybe there's some deep thing I am missing.

And it's Harvey.

how do you sail a laser? 1. Prepare the boat: Make sure the boat is properly rigged, the sails are set and the mast is up. 2. Launch the boat: Launch the boat in the water and make sure it is facing the right direction. 3. Trim the sail: Trim the sail to the right angle and tension to maximize the power and speed of the boat. 4. Steer the boat: Use the tiller to steer the boat and keep it on course. 5. Adjust the sail: Make minor adjustments to the sail to adjust the power and speed of the boat. 6. Sail to the finish: Sail to the finish line and complete the race.
Well, now I am all set!

A few teachers at my school have been using the AI for different tasks. I have mostly been using it to make inference questions for a news article, or generate a shitload of repetitive maths questions. It has been doing a reasonable job, I still have to check it makes sense, but it is quicker than writing them all myself. Another teacher has been using it to write macros to automate tedious tasks for his online group work classes, they usually work within one or two iterations. Another tool is having it write three lots of similar questions at different reading or ability levels, so you can differentiate your worksheet.
It is not perfect, but this is the first widely available version everyone has played with. After all of the free beta testing we are doing, the next version will be leaps and bounds ahead. There will be a lot of jobs disappearing soon

I found this one, just abandoned on the waterfront! Ought to be just about right. But I'd prolly have to upgrade my windlass...
