The beginnings of FM had neither Christine, nor Nicks, nor Buckingham.

have a look for ‘Peter Green,’ and my fave album is ENGLISH ROSE, it’s a compilation of early FM. You may note it contains the ORIGINAL ’Black Magic Woman.’

Nevertheless, RIP, Ms McVie

The "Disgraceland" episodes on FM are worth a listen.

“In Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks’ voice may have been the siren call that pulled you into bed, but Christine McVie’s voice was the one that kept you there all weekend. Her maiden name was Perfect.” — From Pt. 2 of the Fleetwood Mac story in Disgraceland.

I went to see Fleetwood Mac in Berlin in 2019. That was the tour that Stevie Nicks told Lindsey Buckingham that hew wasn't invited. I was sad about that, thy had 2 guitarists to replace Buckingham. The main guitarist played but made the mistake of trying to sing like him. Ugh.

Christine McVie was the oldest member of the band and although her voice was okay, the years had taken their toll. Stevie Nicks looked and sounded good, she has the advantage of having that raspy voice that ages better than McVie's beautiful alto voice (and she had quite a range above and below that).

Some people just have magical names.

The beauteous and brainy female cop on Endeavour was named Truelove - and if she existed in real life that's what it would have been at first sight. :)
