look up the inverted method, that will let you get as long of a steep as you want. I do long steep times when using a coarser grind (which saves a bit of grinding effort when I’m using a manual burr grinder).
I looked it up but would have preferred a direct link...

The Aeropress inverted method looks a lot like the French Press method - no surprise that longer steep time improves the coffee.  As I mentioned before, fine grind will reduce the quantity of coffee required and improve the flavor.

Upside Down Brewing Results in a Richer Taste

When you brew inverted, all the coffee grounds will make contact with the water the entire brewing period. This is called full or total immersion. Full immersion brewing methods are known for having a richer taste than brewing methods where the coffee begins passing through the filter immediately. The most popular full immersion brewing method being the French Press.

This isn’t the first time you’ve whined about not being provided a link. If someone takes the time to direct you to a research subject, then it’s not his job to do the research for you. Your Google aint broke, get off your ass and search.

I did this search and am not sure which 'get off your ass' is worse...

Fuck you. Saying "Look it up" instead of providing a link is lazy.  Having a bad day?

Thanks for the FU.

Would you have preferred that I didn’t reply?  There are so many posts, videos, and blog entries on Aeropress inverted method that it didn’t make sense for me to pick just one.  Plus the name alone tells you how to do it.

You can basically treat the aeropress as a French press, it’s own thing, or even a pour over.  Or anything that you invent that is in between. That is it’s magic and you can read a lot about it.

Uh oh, I didn’t provide a link. Have a nice Sunday.

I use a Bialetti aboard. Pretty simple.

Anyone figured out how to secure the biatletti when rocking and rolling? Too small for the standard pot holders on the Dickenson...  I was thinking maybe an aluminum ring, like a piece of pipe, but that seems overkill and will create a random piece of hot metal... Not a good solution so won't do it...

I do not have a Dickenson, however just looked at the relevant pot holder pics. I would cannibalize a pot holder, or some other stainless galley ware to make a taller pot holder of some sort. Use your TIG welder... On that note, the wife's kitchen drawers are a great source of stainless bits for projects. Be sure to hide the evidence.

Coffee is important.

Get a bigger one like the 12 cup - that should fit.   :D

The Bialetti's center of gravity is so low I wouldn't think it would take much. Maybe 3 small cable clamps around one burner? Simple wire ring with a couple legs? On a gimbled stove, I'd say a Bialetti is good to force 8. :)

Wow I just saw this. I will try it out this weekend. (I had no trouble with a google search.) I never knew about "the bloom" before. Regardless, coffee while camping or on the boat tastes better that at home, no matter how you brew it.

Glad no one thought she was an "influencer". She's fucking self absorbed. Maybe she could do hair or makeup tips. She might do better (?)
