So, how does the bowman (or any of the crew) get off the rail in a hurry?  I see a lot of scrabbling feet trying to get purchase on something.  That looks like a recipe for disaster. 

Maybe I'm just old.

It is indeed a recipe for disaster, almost fell overboard several times last week while on the bow. 

Anybody who does that, whatever age, should be wearing a PFD. 

And yes you are old, and so am I.

I also see the bow guy is wearing those high traction foot gloves to solve the sloping deck problem.  The kind where you can get the shrouds or lifelines jammed in between your toes.  That can be a very painful experience that happens just at the wrong time.  Been there and done that.

So, I'm just old, but I'm not impressed.
