Russell just think of the time and money you would save building just one hull not multi hulls. If I wasn't into multihulls, I'd build a boat like that!
OK, so very quirky (the name of the tender, so appropriate), but definitely cool. Not pretty, but cool. Pete Goss's homebuilt ply. I like the colourful interior. Very Mondrian.

Also, I live somewhere where a slip is not available for people of my income level, so must be a trailerable boat for me and I'm damm sure not going to buy a monster truck to tow a keelboat around.

This 23' sloop, designed by Doug Hylan, appeared in the July/August 2022 WoodenBoat magazine. I have admired it often, since this issue is in the reading room.
Hylan describes it as a good fit for "wobbly old salts." I agree. I think an electric pod drive would be ideal. A fixed keel option would be interesting.

It looks to me as though her cockpit is not self-bailing. It's a drawback, but maybe fixable.Ruby Slipper

I am a bit biased as I am presently building a F Vivier Morbic 12 and would reach for his Meaben. It looks to me as though her cockpit is not self-bailing. It's a drawback, but maybe fixable.
