Solar and wind are by far the cheapest sources of energy...
It would be great if that were true. Who doesn't want cheaper energy?

It's great because it also doesn't result in the tremendous health care costs that fossil fuel impose on the rest of the country.

Cheaper and healthier, for the win! Of course, if you want to funnel money into the right pockets, then fossil fuels are great for that, and those pockets don't pay for the ignorant peasants' health care, right??

The fossil fuel lobby is strong anywhere in the world. It is the most expensive energy and a small percentage makes a fortune. So of course the lobby is strong.

Why does the US federal government give 32 Billion dollars of subsidy every year to the 5 big oil companies that make a collective 200 billion dollar profit?
It is strong in China? China gives a rat's ass about the fossil fuel lobby?

That 32B in subsides is a bunch of bullshit. It is oil leases and tax deductions. But, personally, the US government shouldn't give any subsidies to anyone. It further shouldn't own so much land.

Ever heard the term corruption? It is rampant in the USA. Any country that allows ties between politicians and corporations allows corruption. China is no different than the USA in that perspective.

Will you be answering any of my questions or are you going to keep changing the subject with every post?

Were you going to post your plan on how to lift poor people out of grinding poverty with renewable energy? Hell, Germany could really use your plan right now because they don't seem to have one.

told you .. he is so homocentric he simply can not comprehend anything greater

if the whole world burns to death but everyone is wealthy and have everything they want he will be a happy man .
conclusion ...
he is as dumb as a box of rocks
no bell curve needed

there is no point or possible gain in entering his discussion

From all the modern countries the USA is by far the most capitalistic and also has the highest poverty rate, please explain?
Actually, the US ranks 25th in economic freedom. At one time, the US was pretty capitalist. Not so much anymore.

Additionally, poverty rates are misleading. The World Bank and European Union define poverty as 50% of median income.

Economic freedom and poverty have nothing to do with each other. All what 'freedom' means is that you can take whatever you want without having to think about the consequences for anybody else. Hence the couple of hundred billionaires that the USA embraces are the side effect of the enormous poverty in the USA.

You may want to re-read your references here. This is far from correct.
"The majority of countries in the world, as well as organizations such as World Bank, [the OECD](Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)), and the European Union, set the national poverty line at 50% of a given year's median income. For instance, the median income in the United States was $67,521 in 2020 so the national poverty line according to the United Nations would be $33,761."

Apologies, I read your post as poverty being the 50% of incomes that are lower than median.

Look at your last link, all definitions are the same in that one.
Poverty rate for the USA is 17.8%, Norway is 12.7% (almost 30% lower than the USA) and Denmark is 12.5%. Norway runs on 98% renewable energy, Denmark is around 70%. USA is only 12.5%.

Your question was about Germany, they are at a 14.8% poverty rate, 17% lower than the USA. They use about 45% renewable energy.

You claim that fossil fuels lift people out of poverty, how come the countries that have lower poverty rates are using less fossil fuels? (and are the least capitalistic of the modern/rich countries) Your logic does not add up.

Do you understand how "poverty rate" is calculated? Germany's median income is substantially less than that of the US. What they are really trying to measure is "income inequality."

Further, Germany uses 17.2% renewable energy. And 8.8% is "biomass." 2.1% is solar and 3.9% is wind. Maybe you meant electricity?

The petrol billionaires are building coal powerplants in China? Who knew.

Hahaahaaa you fucking shill.

They have to, because no one else will.
