Thanks for pointing that out. But he never made it to inside the Capitol according to NBC news:
"Reffitt was convicted on five counts in March, including transport of a firearm in support of civil disorder and obstruction of an official proceeding, although he did not make it inside the Capitol or use physical violence because he was eventually incapacitated after charging the police line."
Even if he had made it to the inside, which was his intent, my point stands: What kind of coup attempt against the US government doesn't even bring one (or just one) gun to inside the Capitol?

Slow day Driver? But thanks for the reminder. That post is worth repeating here:
The Jan 6 riot was wrong, lawbreakers should face charges, and as a country we should do what is needed to prevent it from happening again.
Problem is Nancy Pelosi's committee is only interested in trying to smear Trump and eliminate his chances of being elected POTUS again (in 2024). They will fail because Americans are not stupid.
It has been over a year since the riot and what have we learned about the so-called insurrection? Nothing. Because there was no insurrection. Pelosi wants desperately to conclude that Trump planned the riot and enabled and lead its execution. Pelosi has also failed to show *any* evidence supporting this. Because there is none. There IS concrete evidence that Trump used the words "peaceful protest" in his morning speech to the large crowd congregated some distance from the Capitol. Further, when Trump learned that a Capitol riot was underway he issue two tweets, both calling for a stand down and using the words 'stand peaceful' and 'remain peaceful. No violence!'. That's three 'peacefuls' so far. Later that day Trump issued a twitter video saying ' ...you have to go home now, We have to have peace. We have to have law and order.... So go home. ... But go home and go home in peace.'
The questions you will NOT hear answered by Pelosi's committee included 'Why did Pelosi and Mayor Bowser refuse Trump's offer of 10,000 National Guard troops(offer made on Jan 5)? Trump knew the potential for trouble and wanted to avoid it. Why was the National Guard help refused?
Further, there was communication involving the House Sergeant-at-Arms and possibly Pelosi on Jan 6. That communication has been requested but the House General Counsel has refused to release it. Why?
Pelosi's committee itself is anything but a bi-partison kangaroo court because Pelosi refused to accept the House Republican majority's nominations as was his right. Instead, Pelosi selected only her own RINO 'republicans' like Liz Cheney who is known to have an axe to grind with Trump(Trump dissed her dad). Clearly this committee is all about politics and has nothing to do with finding the FACTS of what happened on Jan 6. The American citizens deserve to know those facts. What happened on Jan 6 should not be allowed to happen again. But there is little chance of gleaning the facts because Pelosi is only playing politics to try to neuter Trump so he cannot run for POTUS in 2024.
Trump is greatly feared by the Democrats, especially after the obviously failed first year presidency of Joe Biden.
