So a mob violently attempting to prevent the peaceful transfer of power after an election is "just a demonstration"?

It would appear that what everyone says about you is accurate.

I will make no excuses for the extremely bad behavior. But yes, it was a demonstration that got out of control.

The question I would like answered is why the Capitol was not being protected by the National Guard as was offered to Bowser and Pelosi's underling days before Jan 6.

A coup attempt without bringing even one gun into the Capitol? No. It was not a coup attempt. What chance would that crowd have had against our military? Military machine guns, grenades, RPGs, etc. You can't be serious.

My personal blind partisan pals will not even discuss this with me at this point. The vote denying the vets benefits has finally shut up an Army colonel, ret and on disability from too many hard parachute landings, apparently head first. These fucks have no idea what the Rs are up to. They don't want to know.

I think Surfer7 is trying to ignore the evidence presented by the Jan6 cmte that even though Trump knew the crowd his team had organized, led by military-style extremists his sycophants were closely involved with, and fueled by his lies _was_ armed.

He’s tryouts by to convince himself that Trump wanted to let this armed crowd past magnetometers at the ellipse to get closer to him. He wanted to march to the Capitol with them, and he wanted to direct their efforts by tweeting about Mike Pence while the armed riot was attacking our nation's Capitol and kill our representatives.

He wants us to ignore that Trump told Senators during the riot he wanted the vote delayed to facilitate a scheme involving fake electors, after failing to enlist the DOJ in his fraudulent attempt to Rewrite election results.

And he’s ignoring evidence of witness tampering by Trump and his associates since this commission has been presenting him with this evidence.

Basically, @Surfer7 wants his bubble back. He can’t handle the mounting evidence he supported a treasonous criminal.

Poor guy.

I agree that whatever it was, it failed. It never should have happened. A demonstration that got out of control? Yes. A coup attempt? No.

Right. An armed demonstration, planned a month or so in advance by Trump's inner circle of advisors, paid for by Trump political contributors, coordinated with Trump's hand-picked appointees within the security services including Dept. of Defense, which Trump watched "get out of control" for 3 hours including multiple deaths and all he did was encourage more violence, all of which was directed to the goal of keeping Trump as President when he lost the election.... that kind of "demonstration."

Don't you love it when the Foxxy Brigade runs with something past the point it is not only proven to be an utter lie, but even FoxxyInc is starting to give up on it

Kind of like the way they were broadcasting anti-vax nonsense while requiring all their employees to be vaccinated?

Yeah, well.... you can in fact fool some of the people ALL the time.

Hard to say he wants his bubble back, for him it's about as solid as it ever was.

For those in the bubble never hear about the sworn testimony from Miller that he was never asked to offer Pelosi armed military security (as if Pelosi is anywhere in the chain of command), all those in the bubble see and hear are people saying she was offered it by people, who claim she was...over and over again. People who do everything they can to avoid being sworn in. People who Sean and Tucker encourage their viewers to view as honorable people.

But they also contradict themselves, almost constantly. For example, on a long drive a couple of days ago, flipping radio channels at random, I listened to Mark Levin for about 15~20 minutes... he was going on and on and on about Nancy Pelosi, with a guest who apparently was somebody in the security network (or posing as such). They said: Nancy P has no real authority, yet she was supposed to order increased security because she was somehow supposed to know there was going to be a riot. Nancy P was offered increased security and said no. Nancy P was told she needed increased security and she specifically gave orders NOT to increase security. Etc etc etc, round and round and round. They alternated this with commenting about how it would be better for the country if she was dragged out and hanged or beaten to death or raped (this provoked giggles from his guest).

Listening to this kind of toxic hate-spew, it's no wonder the country is so fucked.

Right. An armed demonstration,
Please provide a list of the arms brought into the Capitol by the demonstrators. Include your source.
planned a month or so in advance
Details of the plan and source?
by Trump's inner circle of advisors,
Which advisors and source?
paid for by Trump political contributors,
Source?
coordinated with Trump's hand-picked appointees within the security services including Dept. of Defense,
Source?
which Trump watched "get out of control" for 3 hours
It wasn't 3 hours, but I agree that Trump made a large mistake by not televising a "go home peacefully" message to the demonstrators sooner.
including multiple deaths
Which deaths other than demonstrator Ashli Babitt's(she was executed by a Capitol cop)?
and all he did was encourage more violence,
In what way and when did he do that? Source?
all of which was directed to the goal of keeping Trump as President when he lost the election.... that kind of "demonstration."
There is no question that Trump thought the election was stolen from him (as did the demonstrators). Thinking that is not a crime. Nor were his legal challenges. His problem is that it was impossible to prove it. He should have let it go after losing those challenges. He is still hanging on to that notion but (still) he would be better served to just let it go.

Mark Levin and his guest did this? Provide the podcast date so that this can be verified. If you can't then Mark Levin will see your post I can assure you.

Actually that is not true. Trump knows quite well he lost the election, as per testimony (ie what you say when you have to tell the truth or suffer consequences) of Ivanka & Jared and several others on his staff.

He just finds it more convenient and profitable to lie.... and avoid testifying, obviously
