Hey HB, you got a mention in the comments, good job. :p

Looks like the first full nutty of the year, tomorrow ought to be interesting B)

Hey Danni, Long Beach is nice, try Shoreline Marina, but you might fit in better in Wilmington. Standards you know...
He does demonstrate an impressive ability to carry on a conversation with himself.

I guess he fails to realize that it is screamingly obvious what he is doing when the only comment he has from a registered used is from his own name, the rest are all ad hoc on the fly names. Same symptom he had on the old blog. He makes it very hard to believe the fantasy.

Of course I will admit to popping over there to see his blog today but even if he is tracking IP's he won't see my delicate size 12's anywhere.

In defense of the original 'Tard blog, that was WAY back when we thought he was just a bloviating moron deserving of a sound mocking and had no idea he was actually mentally ill.

Must be PTA night, usually we don't get bloggage this late.

He is ramping up his attack dog Red Boots...who has been a bit conciliatory lately.

And we have the "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful" soliloquy.

He just doesn't get it...

Danni, take a couple of shots of that brandy and call it a night.

You guys are too easy. I thought we would hint around as to how/where it might be found for a day at least, then start giving hints of the archive for a deleties-free version about a week later.

Oh well, welcome, credence623. I assume you have been asked to fuck off and display some tits in some other thread? Where might I find that?
wink.gif

10 posts in, and I've yet to have been invited to fuck off. I was starting to feel unwelcome.

Don't worry Timo, I've no interest in feeding this dork's dillusional narcissism, I just want to see the train wreck firsthand.
Curious, in another thread on bottom paints you mentioned your boat being in Hawaii. Was that the Catalina you have in your signature?

I kept my last boat, a Lancer 36, in Pearl Harbor. I sold it to a guy who sank it off Waikiki two weeks after buying it (paid in cash thankfully). I now own a Catalina and live in Virginia.

As far as the blog goes; my employer has it firewalled so I am going to have to check it out in my off time. Not sure I'm ready to commit my personal time to following Dan's ramblings, but I'm sure I'll eventually cave and check it out this weekend.

Hmmm, no Icom IC-7600 in the old nav station... I mean the 7000 is a really nice unit, but...

Another illusion smashed. :(

Continuity...(under edit)

Tillervision, could it be better than the "I like turtles" kid? Stay toooned...

Edit,

Oopsies, major Deleties for breakfast, Tillervision is gone, along with most of the comments, sorry Creedence, but the weekend show just isn't the same. :p

I hope OGR caught "don't hate me because I am beautiful" a Tillerclassic if I ever saw oneB)

Let's suppose "Galen" needs a replacement part shipped to Crooked Island, where I happen to be at the moment...
Pics or you're on a Couch in Jersey! :p
What? And serve him up a surfeit of schadenfruede, allow him to gloat at a graphic representation of my current suffering the travails of unemployment?

His neverending hard-on for my "unemployed" status continues to mystify... We're roughly the same age, after all, and yet he is "retired" In other words, un-employable, his "retired" status is made possible only by those 60-80 hour work-weeks put in by Miss Oregon, of course... Geez, can't I at least be "semi-retired", or working part-time at this point in my life?

He's right, I am suffering from a severe depression, exacerbated no doubt by these long, dark, Bahamian winters... In truth, most mornings down here, I can barely bring myself to drag my carcass out of the vee-berth, I can only dream of spending next-winter in a place like the archipelago, at 48 degrees North... So, here's just another day at Samana Cay, and my world about to come crashing down around me ...

samana1.jpg

Alas, I have only made it about halfway to the equator from my home port this winter, it's now time to think about heading back to NJ, my limited vacation is quickly running its course... Hmmm, let's see, my "limited vacation" will have totalled over 4 months by the time I'm back home, and that still leaves me all summer and fall of this year to continue sailing (when I'm not hanging sheetrock in my underwear, of course) Amazing, how he considers himself to be some sort of full-time cruiser compared to the rest of us, and yet my "limited vacation" this winter has already exceeded that allowed to him annually by the State of Washington, via the breadwinner aboard SEQUEL...

But I guess when you think you are all that because you live aboard in The Archipelago and the scope of your cruising ambitions, never to be realized, is Oahu, then that is the best we can come to expect from such an untraveled jack-ass.
Now, come on, that is a bit harsh, no? The man has travelled to over 100 different foreign nations, he once said so on CSBB, so it must be true... Damn, that is a list I'd love to see, I've been waiting a long time for that one...

Shame on you, for making a mockery of his exhaustive Tohatsu-research, as he crafts his South Pacific cruising plans... Hmmm, anyone here have the heart to inform him, that Hawaii is still a long, LONG way from the South Pacific?

Hmmm, no Icom IC-7600 in the old nav station... I mean the 7000 is a really nice unit, but...

Yeah, I've been waiting for him to post another pic of his nav-station... No doubt, he only had the new-Icom on the bench for testing and evaluation, and it has already been shipped to Magnus for installation on the New-Boat...

Damn, it’s slow around here, time to stir the pot with a question or two…

So, has anyone come up with the magical combination of Google-terms that produce a link to the “article” he wrote for IFR Magazine that resulted in the FAA finally taking action, and correcting the problems with the approaches into Reno? A pity he doesn’t give us a taste of his tales of “debauchery” among the “very-conservative” Aggies, I'm sure they would have been right up there with his exploits while piloting Hugh Hefner’s jet…

And, since he has stated clearly in the past that cruisers in regions prone to fog or poor-visibility should not be permitted to sail without radar, how can he legitimize his weekend archipelagic putterings whilst his radar is out of commission?

Ahh, yes, another weekend “sailing adventure” is in the books… Funny, for a guy who blathers on so about his love of “sailing”, his blog certainly produces precious little photographic evidence of it… One could count on one hand the number of pics he’s shared of SEQUEL under sail, and they were all posted back in the days of pelagica.com, or earlier… We’ve yet to ever see a pic of the tripod bridal deployed, or the mizzen-staysail set (remember the weeks of trigonometric number-crunching he did to come up with the proper deck attachment-point?), much less “that damned gennaker and sock"… (still staying tooned for the "several modifications" Miss Oregon made to improve the performance of the ATN-snuffer) Too busy riding out bodacious-gales in mirror-smooth anchorages, brewing endless pots of green-tea and reading Dickens, I suppose…

One would think that someone who supposedly is so passionate about “sailing”, might take the opportunity to do so on occasion during any of the five-days each week he has to himself… Perhaps he’s not permitted to singlehand SEQUEL, but you’d think a man of his means would have something like an Alerion 20 at hand to pursue his passion, no? Nah, the sad truth is, his weekend “sailing adventures” likely involve just about anything but, I’ll bet B.J. has more miles in his Laser, than does SEQUEL under sail…

Despite the very unseasonable winter here in the Bahamas, I’ve still been very fortunate to have been rewarded with some awesome sailing for most of this cruise, many memorable days and nights all the way down from NJ to Castle Island… One of the finest had to be this afternoon last week down in the Bight of Acklins, which has become one of my favourite spots in all the Bahamas… Very remote and little-visited, I was one of only 3 boats in there last week, an area perhaps about twice the size of Narragansett Bay. The southern part of the Bight is extremely shallow, even with my 5’ draft I really have to play the tide to make it though there… Hit it just right on this day, hours of sailing across the bank with little more than 8 inches under the keel, the depths never fluctuating more than 2 or 2 inches for miles and miles, closest thing there is to a magic carpet ride…

Cruising under sail really can be a delight, the tard should try it sometime, instead of just talking about it… (grin)

At least you are not in NJ with the Northeasterlies kicking up. Friends and family in NY have been struggling. Here in the NW, the weather is suppose to improve all week. Great weekend coming up for a 30 nm race at Gig Harbor. May take an extra day on the delivery and hang out at Blake Island for a night. Pics and charts when I get home.

Hmm, so he is giving himself suggestions on what to read next, how about this one?

As far as being accused of being DT, as soon as you put together a coherent paragraph with proper punctuation, spelling, and capitalization, you were off the hook.

Yes, it's been a quiet Monday in the archipelago, too quiet... Only verifiable blog-activity has been the re-naming of Friday's post from "off sailing" to "pirate radio"...

I'd be curious to know how much he actually does read... Of course, reading is like anything else - sex, for example... Chances are anyone who talks about it as much as he does, isn't really doing/getting much... Can't imagine him actually finishing more than a handful of the stacks of books he photographs, I would suspect that he dabbles here and there, but most are quickly consigned to the equivalent of a blog-entry being "under edit", or deleted...

He suggests my "limited vacation time" spent cruising would be better spent reading Dickens, than farting around on a sailing forum... Well, frankly, Dickens has always bored the shit out of me, right from the time we read GREAT EXPECTATIONS in fifth grade (geez, of all his books to teach at that age, why do they choose THAT one?) Anyway, the continentals have always been more my style - Mann, Stendahl, Zola, and of course that whole gang of Russians... Frankly, I don't know why anyone else even bothered, after Dostoyevsky came along... (grin)

Funny thing is, I would be willing to bet anything that this dumber-than-a-post photographer/delivery captain has read way more than His Pretentiousness has over the course of our respective lives.... Not that that really counts for anything, of course - as much as I have always loved reading, it often serves as the pastime of those with nothing better to do at a particular moment.... But, one of the things I appreciate most about getting away on the boat as I have these past few months, is the opportunity to lose myself in a book like I did when I was younger, and be transported by a great writer once again...

At least you are not in NJ with the Northeasterlies kicking up. Friends and family in NY have been struggling.
You know, it's funny how this cruising thing works sometimes, at least for me... Once again, I'm here in Clarence Town since Saturday, for another frontal passage that night... yesterday was breezy, but beautiful, and I spent a good part of the afternoon at the Rowdy Boys Grill, consuming conch fritters and Kaliks, as I watched the first F1 race of the season, the Grand Prix of Bahrain... Truth be told, I would have preferred to be sitting back home in my living room, as the weather raged on around me... One of the things I have always loved most about living where I do, are the winter storms we can get there, and I know I've missed some good ones, this year...

Fucking kroozers, always want to be somewhere else... LOL! Today, of course, I'm quite happy to be right where I am, reading Robert Wilder's wonderful WIND FROM THE CAROLINAS - a book no one should ever come to the Bahamas without...

I think I was also accused of being DT at first. It's kind of like being told to fuck off or show your wife/girlfriend's tits.
Well, when dealing with a lunatic it's sometimes difficult to tell when he sneaks back in - at least for the first 2 or 3 posts. I think the classic was when he came back as his physics hero, Walter Lewin, suggesting that he (DT) be fragged for writing misleading blog bits about navigation, and then a few months later had on his blog the gem: "Debbie read the thread where someone suggested I be fragged for writing such a poor article on celestial navigation." We almost need a flowchart some times...

That pic looks like there are some deciduous trees in it -- in full leaf.

And, as I recall, briar, Gail did find out about DT's shenanigans and was not very happy with him. This makes me think this pic is quite old.
