Bow 58 informs protest of full throttle, we saw them do a turn.

Shit, looks like Sevenstar went out to the right looking upwind - and got SCREWED.

Ma.gi..r lost their rig on the silver course, according to the official site. Hey sharky - PM me who you are. We hve a bet going. If any of you guys feel like cutting and pasting the RC's comments from the official site, that would be helpful. Cheers.

Profil, Zigzag, and alfa spider going back. Sevenstar with a great start punched out in the middle. Big trafffic jam at the boat end.

You mean this? (delete if not appropriate)

The results for race 7 have been posted. The wind speed has decreased to 15 to 18 knots on both courses and race 8 will start at 1220. Both courses will be sailing course 4 at a distance of 2 miles. The Gold fleet wind bearing is 275 degrees, the Silver fleet wind bearing is 270 degrees.

Joe Fly got noted first! http://www.melges24worlds2008.com/results08/m_24_g.htm

Left side did not pay, Blu Moon (Go Ullman) is out front, with Uka Uka just to leeward. Those are your leaders halfway up the course.

A little word about sailmakers here - North absolutely dominates the numbers, though a good number of the top boats are sailing with Ullmans now. Hyde and Westaway each have a boat, and curiously, I don't think there is a single Quantum sail to be found. Q's are probably the second most common M-24 sails in the US fleet, but obviously they've not got it going here yet. Like we've seen in the states, when the wind gets up, the Ullmans tend to migrate to the front of the fleet.

From the official results, it looks like Joe Fly DID take out the norwegians on the finish - driving over them just like they did to sevenstar slam the other day. Our angle sucked, but they are just so fast downwind it is no contest with almost every other team's speed in this breeze.

Thanks Steve!

Wind is down a bit, but the top mark is consistently 4-5 knots stronger than the bottom. Boats coming up in here now.

Here's that busy top mark rounding from last race. Lots of penalty turns, lots of speed, lots of RIBs.
