Democrats and Republicans form new political party

Yes, exactly as many times as grabbers have brought up guns in unrelated threads. Perhaps you'll figure out that this isn't a coincidence, but I doubt it.

Meanwhile, on the thread topic, I'm glad to have any options. Obviously, TeamD can't tolerate me because of the battlefield .22 ownership issue and TeamR has gone completely nutz to the point that I now have to explain to them that we're never going to tax our way to prosperity.

We could definitely do that, if we reinstated the higher taxes on the wealthy and Corporations that we once had, before the Regressives gave it all back, swearing that the money would "trickle down", from the uber-wealthy and Corps to WE the little people. But of course that never happened, they just further feathered their nests, and those of their elk....

I'm pretty sure I get the point of the incessant name-calling.
I'm not so sure...but let me help.

If you preach the dogballs idea from December of 2016 until today, July of 2022, these six years of such wisdom just might get you named Tom Dogballs Ray. The (exceptionally rare) action of an unknown moderator got you this name. Dogballs.

If you continue the gossamer idea, the word association will remain. In a land where AR15's are proliferated, the .22's are not much of an issue. But you are The Dogballs, have at it, sir. ;)

It's funny how you seem to be clueless that people refer to you as a gun-fetishist because you have a tendency to bring threads around to them.

It was so bad, the mods actually mocked you with that "dogballs" thing. To my knowledge, that was a first, here. That should be a clear indication you were pushing guns a bit harder than you will likely admit.

Very possible, but most of the money for now is coming from Republican super pacs.

Don't forget the last two Republican Presidents both benefitted from liberal "independent" candidates running.

A heck of a lot of women voted for Jill Stein in 2016 because they did not like Hillary. A bunch of left-ish people voted for Ralph Nader in 2000 instead of Al Gore... my sister-in-law being one, she tried to convince me that there was no difference between Al and Dubya.

Not hardly - extremely right wing but he was heaven sent for Clinton.
The people that were giving him money to run could well have wanted Clinton (or one of the other Democrats... IIRC Clinton was not the 'big bosses' pick). He struck me as kind of a dumbass to have made such a fortune.

There's no doubt that Ralph Nader and Jill Stein were getting their Presidential runs bankrolled by Republicans.

Perot hated that Establishment noblesse oblige upper class Bush. He hated the Vietnam War Memorial. He had a massive chip on his shoulder.

It’s simple.

Stein was getting hers from the Russians. Nader, maybe from the Republicans. Plausible.

That doesn't preclude him getting money under the table... without his knowledge, even... from Democratic Party sources, to split the Republican vote. Perot was almost a Bircher except he wanted to invest in infrastructure. And loony as shit about almost everything.
