how many of those yachts have been seized now ?   I bet it slows down once the captors get a quote from the local yard and learn what the  operations / maintenance / crew needs etc actually cost

Its not a 'yacht' it's more like 'gift that keeps on taking'.   a massive liability

Keep up the good work and seize everything they can, chain it up at a dock somewhere and let it rot.

I agree with those who say that no maintenance is neccesary after seizure, let it rot. I might even spray paint anti putin grafitti on them or fly a Ukranian flag from the mast head..

I might let the owners pay for maintenance if they can find a way to transmit payment - now there's a bitch: do you pay for maintenance on a boat that you can't use & might not get back? Hell if they don't present Putin with the bill, comrade.

I say use them for Black Sea R&R tours for the Ukraine vets & their families until they run out of fuel and/or break, then scuttle somewhere strategically advantageous, perhaps in the narrow strait between the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.

They posted over the weekend saying that until further notice they won't be allowing any Russian or Belarusian sailors, shore crew or officials.

Nothing from any of these fleets yet - will be interesting to see if they follow the 52s. The 44s probably have the biggest Russian involvement with 2 flagged boats and at least one more owner.

I don’t expect the 44’s to say anything. They really try to keep a low profile overall.  Sort of an honor among thieves code.

Same with Swan. 
 

Ultimately a Russian trying to get anywhere these days is going to have trouble if their plane is Russian flagged. 
 

I’m really glad Russians have been banned from everything. Its going to be a long time before we see them again, and they won’t be missed. Bunch of unsavory assholes.
