The most incredible part of this entire saga, is not the denialism, but the immediate reaction of viewers after the announcement of the Arizona result.

Forget the rest of the bullshit. These people were so conditioned that they immediately wiped Fox for daring to broadcast facts that they did not want to hear.

It was just a matter of time.

The Complaint: https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/20527881/dominion-v-fox-news-complaint.pdf

“The truth matters. Lies have consequences. Fox sold a false story of election fraud in order to serve its own commercial purposes, severely injuring Dominion in the process. If this case does not rise to the level of defamation by a broadcaster, then nothing does. Dominion brings this lawsuit to set the record straight, to vindicate its rights, and to recover damages for the devastating economic harm done to its business.”
With intent and knowledge being so difficult to prove, and with all those emails confirming they all knew the truth, this has to be a rare moments in legal history.

This really is the only way to address the whole post-truth bullshitter movement. Drag the mother ship into court each and every time they put out the day’s bullshit.

Well, there is another way…. Get cable companies to stop forcing all subscribers to pay for the bullshitter news. Good luck with that.

No one is going after Fox for broadcasting facts. They are going after Fox for knowingly and willfully spouting lies.

Knowingly doing so in an effort to keep the stock price from further tanking after slipping up and telling the truth about AZ.

We only know about that because Dominion dragged the bullshitters into court and forced them to divulge records.

Neighbor across the street dumped Comcrap and went the streaming route. (I think that's what it's called) Anyway, because his wife has been brainwashed, he had to pay extra to get Fox. He did so very reluctantly.

It was the dumb-fuk viewers that made the original decision to change the channel as soon as something they did not like appeared on Fox. So the Fox behaviour was a response, not a driver in this instance.

The monster has been created, now it has to be fed.

So you're saying it is alright to spread lies, disinformation and false propaganda if it will boost ratings and that people such as Dominion's shareholders can just go pound sand if the company they invest in is defamed?

No, I am saying that Fox can be prosecuted, but the root of the problem is batshit crazy Americans. There is no cure for them.

Former AG Barr defends Fox News in op-ed about Dominion lawsuit

Barr could be defending FOX in court, but instead chooses the op-ed pages.

He's not a dummy.

Didn't Barr say he wanted to replace our republican form of gov't with a theocratic dictatorship?

He's terrified that he and his ilk might get held to account for all the bullshit that HE and associates cast - nanothermite for example.

Better to give a pass to Murdoch and co than have to tell the truth yourself, hey Randumb?
