Dominion vs. Bullshitters

There’s been no trial yet. I think by involving the jury in making decisions an appeal is less likely.
It's looking more and more like Dominion will take this through trial. They want that judgment. It would not surprise me to see a settlement after trial and after the notice of appeal is filed. Both sides get a little something out of that. Fox doesn't care about being adjudged as bullshitters, that will make their viewers hold them in even higher esteem. Dominion could get the award quicker, albeit a bit less than the judgment. Sheer speculation. Dominion may well want to pin Fox to the mat and jam a punitive damages award where the sun don't shine.

I hope dominion takes them for every last penny that they’re going for!!

On guns, I think Tom can fuck off and die because I really don't give a damn.

On most of the other topics he posts, I find them quite interesting and valuable. Basically it's on executive overreach and police abuse of the public.

If you ignore everything he posts because of gunz, you're doing yourself a disservice IMO.

I sort of understand most of the Septics here doing that because they're so anti-gun that it colours everything they think, but IMO it shows how blind and closed their mindset is. Tom most certainly lives rent-free in olsonist's head.

Shrug.

I assumed once damages anre awarded appeal will be the automatic delay tactic. Give FOX a chance to earn interest and inflation to depreciate the penalty, maybe find a Trump judge,
I can see a huge influx of court cases in Bumfuck, Texas, where there is only one federal judge and he's pretty much KKK material.

Yeah, except that Tom liked to make shit up. Big supporter of the falsification of history. Tom is always right. ALWAYS! I'm not a psychologist and never played one on TV but I think that was the motive for the long talking-to-himself threads.

Also, Tom once said that it takes the same amount of skill to ride a jetski as to race high performance sailboats. That shot down his opinions about boats, for me. I've 98% ignored Tom's posts for years, so him putting me on double-secret ignore was a surprise but no loss.

Say something good: Tom likes dogs, helps run a junior sailing program (big plus), and is apparently a fair landlord.
You forgot excellent driver.

The way they should look at it is game theory. Asking weightings to probable out comes. Below ask at ask and above ask. I think the jury will find the behavior so egregious it will be at least at ask and 25% chance of $2B (WAG). Then they need to game out the appeal applying a time value of money to the expected outcome. It’s a sImaple calc but you have to be honest about the risk weighting. I’d settle for sure if I got them down to $1.2 but even at full ask.

All I ask is Rupert and his elk get bankrupted big time.
The damage that one man has done to democracies the world over for bucks and bullshit.

Anything could happen. And when this trial is done, Smartmatic's $2.7-billion case is coming right behind it.

Well that won’t happen, he’ll take an equity hit likely much less than the damages awarded. His cash flow will be impacted as they shed loons from the network and the audience shrinks a bit (they have nowhere else to go) that will result in lower carriage fees and they May shutter things like fox nation. But they’ll carry on. 1.6B is roughly 1.25 years of Net income for them. If they catch h the Smartmatic lawsuit badly then your talking but Murdoch at 90 will die a very wealthy man

Those numbers are before punitives.

Tyeah but that can’t get near that # based on economic damages. At least not with a financial based analysis. Might get a chunk for damages to goodwill but still not enough.
but that might not be the end of it. Would there not be a shareholder revolt over leadership leading them over the bullshit cliff?

Agree with that part, might be an acquisition target. However don’t cheer too hard could you get a reputable company to buy it? Would they outbid a Peter Thiiel, Musk, Mercer consortium? Might be best if they carry on with fewer loons in a WSJ model…
