A newly elected Florida Republican sent grenades to fellow members of Congress, prompting one aghast Democrat to say “not even George Santos could make this stuff up”.
The grenades were sent by another freshman, Cory Mills, a member of the armed services and foreign affairs committees.

Stamped with a Republican elephant, the inert projectiles came with a letter in which Mills said: “It is my pleasure to give you a 40mm grenade, made for a Mk19 grenade launcher. They are manufactured in the Sunshine State and first developed in the Vietnam war.

Up here, we also have wild cactus that have needle like 1-1/2" spines. My dog comes out of the woods with a whole "leaf" stuck to her sometimes. Wish she would learn to avoid them. Yeah, getting the sandspurs out from between her toes can be painful for both of us.

I think they're wrong. It's really Spring. The farm folklore is that it won't freeze after the full moon in February here. That's on Sunday and the ten day forecast shows some upper 50's but nothing lower.

F**k Florida. After years of research, we retired to the Eastern Shore in Virginia on the Chesapeake Bay. We still get winter but nothing like Pennsylvania winters and summers are not as hot and humid thanks to being on the water and a nice breeze more often than not. Boaters paradise, low taxes, friendly people, no crime and no traffic. Might be a bit rural and buggy for some.
