plus did way too much myself
biggest expence was super plastic peal&stick hi temp in place of tar-paper to seal the screws 3800 for that
pluss lots of minor tools screws 2x6
and lots of travel naples for the metal keys for plywood

We were in the Tiki Bar at the Riv last night and asked how their thatched roof held up in Ian. She said there were a few holes but they patched them up pretty quickly.The storm didn't do anything to the bridge. I was standing on it to take that picture.

My next door neighbor finished building their house about a year before Ian. Their roof is still covered with tarp and sand bags.
We need more thatched roofs.
