By and large a GOP dog and pony show showing the Magats their leaders are smart and are there asking the hard questions for their voters.

I found it interesting that for all the bombastic behaviour there was little actual defence of Trump.

One wonders if the GOP have suddenly noticed a use by date on Donnie.

Are they are aware of the mountain of shit about to be released by Mueller one imagines so the bare bones spelled out the briefs the closed door  crowd have likely been given.

The closed door sessions will confirm for many GOP that Trump may not be their man in 2020 he may be up to his neck in shit.

Sticky shit, the sort of shit you stay away from because it might stick to you.

Isn’t it a crime to falsify national security clearance forms and lie to the FBI?

Trump had to order his Chief of Staff to give Jared his security clearance over the objections of those involved with his case. Jared had  to try multiple times to fill out his form accurately, since his lies were discovered the first few times.

Then, armed with all that national security info and clearances he flew over to the Middle East, played diplomat and made friends with rich tyrant types. He also made a business deal that solved his little billion dollar debt problem.

Meanwhile, Conservatives still want to investigate Hillary.

I think conservatives have pretty much given up hope that Hillary will ever be the subject of a real investigation.

Conservatives don't give a fuck, Republicans do.  There is no longer any relationship between the two. 

Maybe you could get this guy on the case, maybe get him to hold a public hearing or ten.

It's within his purview as CINC to grant a clearance, but, it's a big step away from precedent.  Certain classification authorities also have the discretion to grant clearances/access to classified content to an individual outside the normal clearance adjudication process.  That usually happens when a specific expertise is required to address a specific situation, and the grant is tightly constrained to information pertinent to that specific situation. 

This case?  It's just more of the same w/our President wrongly thinking that everyone works for him.  I certainly hope that the next WH occupant restores some of the respect and dignity that the office warrants.
