That is what I meant - thanks for the clarification. IMHO the House is working on the embarrassment principle, i.e that they will hit on something so blatant the Senate will HAVE to convict. IMHO that is doomed to fail, they are far beyond embarrassment now.
Do you think they have that something or are they searching for it?

Regrettably, I agree with you about the core group of the republican senators.  Mitch McConnell is as shameless as any human I've ever seen.

But perhaps the electorate is not.  Nor the courts.

The sole intent and purpose of asking Cohen to testify was to find more holes to fish in  -  it'll be interesting to compare how the Judiciary Committee approaches this task w/the way that Mueller has executed his responsibilities.
Really? I thought it was a political dog and pony show to show the faithful that it's not some deep gov't conspiracy, but there is a hell of a lot of smoke, and maybe there's a trdumpster fire somewhere.

yeah - really.   Your first comment is nonsense - the second is quite plausible. I still think it'll be interesting to see how the Judiciary Committee does its investigation - Trump thought that Mueller was on a witch hunt?  I suspect he's about to see what a witch hunt really looks like.

I'm not so sure that he (drumph) won't sneak a win in 2020.  His base is so caught up in the "left is the enemy" mantra that they will overlook anything. It's a pure power for powers sake play. The Dems HAVE to negate that without becoming the 2nd head of Medusa.  that's not easy. Machiavelli might proscribe putting up another strongman to fight the strongman. And he might be right.

I can’t stop laughing over the Judiciary list... Eric Prinz, Ronce Priebuz, Corsi, Wikileaks... it’s a who’s who of Trump enablers

Dog - answer me this:

If Putin appears on every network tonight and swears on a stack of (Orthodox) bibles he rigged the whole election and presents proof, what do you think will change? The Ds will be as outraged as ever and the Rs will say "Thanks!"

It would depend on the ratings.  If not enough people believe it, then there is no way it can be true, especially if it hasn't been repeated enough.
