Alright Alan, I'll give you the old "atta boy" for your excellent work. With that being said, I guarantee that I'm not the only Anarchist out here who wants to know when we will see the return of the "In the Water Anarchy". Keep up the good work.

As far as participation-- keep in mind that if you are the head of a company with a loyal employee base-- it is bad form to go "play" sailboats in these economic times in the face of your employees who are for the most part struggling with the real world. I am hearing that this is the case for many not coming down as well.
You are absolutely correct. That is the reason why we are not there after having done it for the past 11 years.

I know why I'm not there. KW passed a housing ordinance that you cannot rent a single occupancy home for less than 30 days. The house I've rented for the past 10 years went from $4k a week to $16k for the month...
That is not true for all properties. There are still some single family homes available for weekly rentals; they have what is called a transient license. Agree there are a lot less available than before that ordinance was put in place.

With the breeze out of the NE, this Division is the only one that's out of the lee of KW. Little boats get big waves today...20 knots solid, 3-5 foot seas.

Seefest the J-29 should like that 20 knots and 3-5 ft waves is what he kicked my ass in at BBR last year.
Getting beat by an O'Day 40 twice yesterday makes me think they've got other problems.

People so underestimate that O'day 40. Dont knock it until you sailed it. Yes it is a pig but it has a great rating and it has wheels. It likes heavy air flat water or no air at all, in between not so good but can do well. I've been on that boat in Tampa Bay in a no air regatta racing in B class and passed all A class boats boat for boat who started 5 mins in front of us. MO has suprised many people.
Hey at least the owner finally found a way to beat a j/29...buy a different boat!

Hey All, I made a coupon code--10% off Pete Crawford DVDs for KW racers and fans. Code is kw, site is www.iniki.com. It's a great deal, especially on the full collection which was already a screamin' deal. Go Pete!

Sorry to hear about the trouble with Premiere Racing--my 2 cents is that there is a change coming to sailboat racing, and it's going to involve even more run-and-gun coverage, a sharp uptick in quality of/interest in racing as measurement tools like Kattack come online, and (sorry guys) less partying for participants as the population gets older and boats get more athletic. You guys are pushing on the technical/coverage end, and the rest of the infrastructure will need to adjust. All in all, the ability to provide tight SA style coverage is a win for the sport; it means more enthusiasts, more spectators and more ultimate viability, but it will be hard for the old school highbrow crowd to make the leap.....

Anyway, I hope the rumble with The Man turns out ok.
