Editor at US Sailing Symposium?

Just wondering the motivation behind going to US Sailing Symposium when you rail on them all year? I look forward to seeing you speak!

KEYNOTE SPEAKER CRAIG LEWECK

Craig Leweck is best known as the editor and publisher of Scuttlebutt, a racing newsletter that has been providing daily sailing news by both e-newsletter and website since 1997. Scuttlebutt's focus is on items of interest to their North American audience, and Craig relies heavily on his past experiences and industry contacts to fulfill this ongoing task.

Craig's position at Scuttlebutt provides him with an ideal vantage point to assess the sport, both the good and the bad. "It is like sitting in a lifeguard tower," regarding his position at the publication. "Most days I am watching a beach full of people enjoying a beautiful day, but occasionally I find the need to run out and perform a rescue." Craig's commentary has covered the current state of junior sailing, Olympic programs, coaching, and community services. "Our ratio of community sailing programs to Yacht Clubs seems out of whack. I have the feeling our sport would be a lot better if the ratio between the two were reversed."

That is a pretty basic error, a boot in the nuts and a shove off the pontoon along with doom and unmitigated failure will land, imminently, on your pathetic head.

Now that is seriously funny! Almost as funny as the gibberish Leweck spews: "Most days I am watching a beach full of people enjoying a beautiful day, but occasionally I find the need to run out and perform a rescue." What in the fuck is he talking about? Perform a rescue? Holy Christ, what an idiot. And this is my competition? Maybe I am the one who should go to the beach.

It gets better: "Our ratio of community sailing programs to Yacht Clubs seems out of whack. I have the feeling our sport would be a lot better if the ratio between the two were reversed." And what, exactly, has Craig to the Rescue done to reverse the trend? Donated money? Fundraisers, perhaps? Given a lot of ink to "community sailing programs?" Yeah, Craig to the Rescue is all about "community sailing programs." No one has the street cred of Craig to the Rescue.

Did they mention "Craig's commentary?" Good, have a look and ask yourself: if you looked like that, talked like that, had that little energy and personality, would you put yourself on YouTube? Keep 'em coming, Craig to the Rescue!

Jesus Scoots! You're getting soft in your old age. I was waiting for the wrath of God or something similar.

Jeebus Scooter - can I have that 7 mins. of my life back please? Where was that recorded? The men's room of the Long Beach YC?

Can somebody call the Situation Room and tell Blitzer his job is safe?

Craig is living proof that some people experience lasting damage from too much coke use...one could just as easily say that he's living proof that good traits have a way of skipping generations.
