Dalts results do speak for themselves. He is so crap as a fundraiser he has has to put the event up for auction. So rather than steering the direction of the event, he has had to accept what he could get and pretend it is a win. The true believers accept his words as the gospel.

Dalton introduced foiling to the AC, and therefor mainstream sailing. Say what you want about it might have happened without him anyway, but the point is he DID.

In doing so, he made the sport more attractive a whole new generation, led by sailing superstars Pete and Blair. 

To say he's never done anything for the sport is just a ridiculously dumb and ignorant statement from you based on nothing but jealousy and bitterness because he's more successful than you are or ever will be.

For a venue that “wasn’t ever going to happen” (according to 4) he sure does talk effusively about Jeddah. 
 

It’s really odd he keeps doing these interviews both spoken and written where he confirms that Jeddah was sincere a venue option yet 4  thinks he’s lying.  I just don’t understand why he would accuse him of lying like this?

Yes, talking 'effusively about Jeddah' is right. I bet he pursues holding an ACWS event there, even despite objections from Challs.

Interesting interview, GD explains his view of things reasonably convincingly and there actually is some transparency around funding numbers.

'One hears' there's going to be some breaking news on TE's show, news from Auckland and so am guessing it will be venue-related.
