my old VW beetle apparantley not.............. i managed to prove them wrong on that one thoughPlaces all over the US get terrible floods every year and few cities are able to cope with 'worst-case' scenarios, but this year was for sure a bad one! Thankfully no major cities got nailed recently.
Slow day, so will ask: If a normal car is parked in water halfway up its doors, does the water leak into the interior?
Definitely need to sharpen PB on the starts. Repeatedly going head to head with the AC40's in a virtual start box would, IMHO, be hugely beneficial. It would make more sense if PB and NO squared off AGAINST each other, IMO. No advantage them helming together in AC40, 2 boat training. So 4 helms likely required. Fortunately, ETNZ has no shortage of useful helming talent.
watching the foils in the water is captivating.^ that is one great video, being in 3D and everything.
any ideas what the piece at the top of the mast is, in this view?

You mean the crosstrees (spreaders)? Distortion from the camera angle makes it look a little odd, is all.^ that is one great video, being in 3D and everything.

Looks like Dalton’s love child. He’s fucked over so many kiwi sailors by designing a boat that requires bike riders instead of sailors, not surprised he fucked a tree too.
Ineos surely already has AC40-2? But, according to a Palma-based poster here, it has some hull lamination issues? ETNZ does have AC40-1 and AC40-3, which is a touch suprising but maybe another team agreed with that considering the nose rip-off and subsequent design changes. Ineos put in only 1 AC40 order, iirc, and they did get that #2.NZ started 2 boat testing
And Ineos and NZ swapped a build slot for the Ac40. Presumably Ineos gave up their earlier slot for a later one since they still aren't using their boat. Wonder what motivated them to be so generous
