I might be wrong here as have not spent much time looking, but can't seem to find anything about GD moaning about a softbank/oracle partnership. Not even a bad word about DB helming/CEO the JPN team.Look,
I don't mind it if it's between two Challengers like it was between Luna Rossa and Emirates Team New Zealand in 2013 and 2017.
I don't like it if it's between the Defender and the Challenger. The IRONY is this: When Oracle Team USA and SoftBank Team Japan did their collaboration in the Run-Up to the Bermuda AC Grant Dalton was the first one who cried FOUL but now that he is the Defender he is doing it himself and makes himself rich. Dalton is an absolute HYPOCRITE!
Could be the force sensing matrix^, could be they stuck their 360° camera behind a bent bit of plexiglass?Great video, the recon public photos are lacking much detail, would be interesting to see more of what this is. View attachment 573298

My observation of the above picture is that on the RHS along the boundary of the patch you can see it is 'raised' above the foil if you follow the upper surfaces' silhouette. I think if they built a foil with a window they'd have little reason not to keep it fair.Could be the force sensing matrix^, could be they stuck their 360° camera behind a bent bit of plexiglass?
It’s small but this may help us differentiate between their AC40s.

Better than my attempt, HR. I got, 'The Dress'. Bit of a girl's blouse, than one, eh! ;-)Naming ceremony for Te Kakahi. Means Orca apparently, and not fresh water mussel as google told me...

But what does he know. Smacky tells us its impossible for youths to sail and he must know, based on his extensive experience. From Dan Bernasconi -

All should listen to the Great Sage of high performance sailing.....Smacky tells us its impossible for youths to sail and he must know, based on his extensive experience.
We could all sail the AC40 on Autopilot. Just like a Tesla, runs great until it crashes. From Dan Bernasconi -
“The AC40 has exceeded our expectations. It’s a fantastic little boat. Its performance is good, it’s really good fun to sail, and it’s a great boat on the race course.
“Our younger sailors have been able to sail it really well with a pretty short learning curve. It’s not a trivial boat to sail but, getting instructions from our senior sailors, they have been getting up to speed quickly.”
