The nationality rules are an abomination.  Why not all the design work to be covered by nationality. Dalton goes on about how he is happy to be going back to the origins with crew nationality, but the only thing that was covered by that was design and build. Crew, no one gave a toss.

But that would be bloody hard for ETNZ, so Dalton bullshits and makes up a lie to cover his assholeness. The Poms just go along with it, makes them just as big on the assholeness.

It was always club v clubs. Some of the winning Americas cup boats were skippered by a Brit in the 1900s.

Fair enough, I found the accusations of unsporting behavior against Bertelli a step to far. True, he hid behind Tina, but that either made him a coward or a master at machiavelli schemes. As he is no coward it left the other.

Once people head down this path they seldom turn back unless they lose it all. So I am far from surprised at the present shit fight. It could be stopped with one press conference. Instead he feeds it as a way to put pressure on those that hold the purse strings of tax money. 

In the end it may all be bullshit, but even if it is, the fact he has done nothing to stop it still makes the team unsuitable in my eyes.

So yeah, I would have preferred Prada to have won.

I noticed they stopped posting top speeds for the day on social media before the match.

No idea who or what the top speed recorded was but I'll bet it happened within 3 boat lengths of a mark.

If they were on a leg of the course they would not be recording the top speed of that race.

Pft. First of all, it’s all shit, just like courses B&C being removed, just like misappropriation of public money, fraud and heads rolling. It’s BS. If they came out with a press conference every time there were rumours they’d be having a press conference every 5 minutes! The fact is, the cup is over, everyone’s having withdrawal symptoms and making shit up as a way of passing the days away, just like they do after every cup finishes. Then reality hits and they realise they were all fucking overreacting. Nothing is confirmed, all options are on the table and negotiations are yet to begin. It’s all fucking hear say at the moment. Stop being so damn gullible and dramatic!
