40M? Isn't that his current livable wage per year?
My bet would be he’s on more than that now, so if Elkin was offering 80M the story might have some legs..
Although if by Monza LH doesn’t see race wins at Mercedes and Ferrari are kicking some RB ass then the siren song of Ferrari Rossa might grab Lewis by the nuts..

I'd love to see the details on some of the Rookie's contracts. Particularly Piastri's given the massive divide between his and Norris's numbers.

Also interesting to see De Vries managed to negotiate a higher wage than Tsunoda. But then I suspect Tsunonda has a bigger earning potential offthe track.

Give your predictions:

Current F1 driver who hasn't been World Champion before to next be WC, not necessarily this year, but whenever it happens, and a second nominee.

Current rookie of the 4 (including Mick Schumacher if you please) that will ultimately have the most successful F1 career.

Russell. LeClerc.

No idea on the rookie one.

Alonso could win tomorrow. Just one better start than max. Max earned that pole today. Team strategy also had him almost last on track as it evolved. Alonso is on fire.
Fantastic qually…
the level of commitment by Max thru Tabac, the swim pool and Rascasse was off the charts..
great laps by Alonso, Leclerc and Occon which any other time deserved pole..
Perez showed how difficult it is to put a Monaco qually together..
looking forward to an interesting race..
