It’s as good as expected but it seems to be a bit less gritty than before. Maybe just me.
a great quote from Gunther Steiner when he complains that Schumacher Jr has only got two points but points out that last season he would have fucked the whole paddock if it meant they got two points!
I think DTS jumped the shark around season 2/3. It go a massive boost rolling out about 2 weeks before the world went into lock-down in 2020.

Over there
It's just a hopped up, dumbed down version of last season that ends just as the new season starts.

Indy Car is coming to Portland this fall and I'm going to go check it out. All access, 3 day 'Gold Pass' tickets are currently only $275/person and I get to sleep in my own bed. A little bit less access for $165/person or general admission for $70.

Las Vegas GP pass is north of $2K/person for 'all access'...

I attended the GP in Malaysia in 2012 for about $120 for a 3-day pass in a hill stand. I avoided the high prices by paying in-country in ringgitt instead of CAD/USD, stayed in an inexpensive local B&B, and came out of the whole deal with a great experience and not having spent a fortune.

I wanted to take my engineer son to the Mexican GP with a pit pass as a grad present, but the sticker shock was excessive. It might be cheaper to fly to a less expensive venue, if one still exists.

Well, the old fat man proved to be pretty quick! But, it was still FP2!

Backstay, never bought a suit, never went to Vegas
Fernandez going fast in the new Aston Martin!!!

Team radio to Alonso, "You're still P1."

Alonso, "Oh really?".

Great to see a team NOT of the big three possibly in the game again!!

Yes, looking like a repeat of last year, with Red Bull with the best car, and Mercedes sucking Ferrari exhaust again. The problems at Mercedes might not be as severe as last year, hopefully they can improve more quickly this year. Great to see mid-field teams challenging. First to last in Q2 was 1.1 seconds, so the new rules seem to be working as intended.

Adrian Newey is departing, so RB better enjoy it while it lasts.

Think he confirmed that it was hugged the whole paddock, not fucked it.

Not going to spoil anything for those that don’t watch live, but apart from one or two interesting results, that was boring.
They need to have some sort of weight handicap to make things more interesting.

If you found this race boring maybe F1 isn’t for you, some great overtakes, surprises…sometimes you have to watch the strategy play out.
Having said that I’m a bit disappointed how easy the win was but a great result for the old fart..

Perhaps you would like Indy Car better, lots of crashing, wall banging, crashing stupidity..
did I mention crashes?

or some buggerty racing from Vegas..

I would like to have seen Max and Lewis do the same racing for position as Scott and Roman did.

There is a reason why they were in Bahrain rather than St. Pete.
