I have a hunch if the FBI had their way, they would not have found those documents.

Give him time to hide/destroy them? Yeah, that's a great idea.
I can only see it as an attempt to interfere with justice. Close the investigation, with all the evidence building up? Corruption.

I don't disagree. Our takes are compatible.

If the FBI got its way, he could easily have hidden/destroyed the documents.

No documents - no evidence. No evidence - no investigation.

Then, he/they would rail about a "witch hunt".

The DOJ would still have the documents that were initially surrendered, but finding that whole collection that was deliberately withheld made the case much stronger.
You really have to wonder how compromised the FBI is.

And DeJoy, and a few other holdovers from Trump's War on Truth. Biden could fire DeJoy now, I believe he has the votes, and I can't fucking understand why he hasn't. Same with Wray.
Nope. He can't.

The U.S. Postal Service Board of Governors has sole authority to hire and fire the postmaster general, the highest position in the organization. Though pressure mounts from Democrats and watchdogs to remove DeJoy from his seat at the top of the agency, Biden lacks the power to do so.

Until an absolute majority of those on the Board of Governors vote to remove him, he stays.

There were a couple of new Governors appointed in December, I understood that Biden now had the votes he needed. I can't find anything recent, however.

Unfucking believable. This shit is why I believe Trump will never see the inside of a cell. He has toadies at every level of government and they will prevaricate until the guy is in a grave. Embarrassing.

Yep, this is part of the power of the whole RWNJ faction. They bend rules in favor of their own, always.

The FBI was always kinda problematic with politics, look at Hoover. He intended to lead the President and all the top US politicians around by th enose, and he succeeded with a damn lot more than he should have.

This happened almost 40 years ago. There were multiple lawsuits which pretty much were resolved before 2002.

Clinton did NOT sign off on the blood sales.
A Louisiana company bought inmate blood after every reputable blood supplier had ceased to use inmate blood( fear of HIV contamination)
The Louisiana company sold blood to a Montreal company.
The Montreal company sold the blood all over Canada.

No connection was ever found between Arkansas officials and allowing the blood to be gathered or sold.

Summary, Gropenfuhrer was equally as responsible as Clinton.
We investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing

Hmmm. The brass at the hardass FBI lacked the institutional courage to man up and do the obvious, when the time came, in D.C.
Appropriations, No agency will take action that results in budget cuts, or worse. being merged with a more politically adept agency,

Andy Biggs (R-AZ) publicly called for use of the Holman Rule to “start defunding… the FBI, the DOJ.” Others in the Freedom Caucus have echoed Biggs’ call for defunding the FBI and Department of Justice. The Freedom Caucus is led by Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA), a major figure in the plot to overturn the 2020 election results, whose cell phone was seized by the FBI last year as part of the January 6th investigation.
