Lots of dirty play and outrageous flopping. Sad. The officiating is awful. Costa Rica basically cheated their way to a win against Japan and now Spain Vs Germany is an abomination. Croatia essentially fouled every Canadian player with the ball who was beating them as long as it was outside the box. They would have won without doing that but whatever.

I've been watching the Croats play for decades, what is it about the culture that perpetuates this disgraceful behavior.

This World Cup has certainly thrown up some surprising results, which means that most groups' final matches are live with some big names at risk of going out at Group stage including England, Argentina, Denmark, Germany, Belgium with a few of the lesser teams like Iran, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Japan and Morocco in with a chance of getting through to last 16.

And there could be a surprise or two with tonight's matches to come. I'm hoping Uruguay can spring a surprise in their match with Portugal and it'd be good for the Asian Conference if South Korea get over the line v Ghana.

The tragic thing was the Croats were very surgical and clearly out performed the canadians in the red zone. They did not need to be thugs to win that game.
