He's playing the "I was ordered to...." card. Trump must be shitting his diaper more than usual, Meadows was at the very center of J6 and has rolled over for a plea. At what point does Trump's team beg for a change of venue? I assume the congressional critters involved in J6 are sweating at his allegiance to the prosecutors. Should be fun when J6 comes to a head.

I would assume Meadows, as the President's Chief of Staff, was schooled on the classification system.

Saying "I was ordered to" ought to have the same result as stealing a nuclear warhead and saying "He told me to do it."

Meadows can prolly tie up a lot of loose ends, yeah he's cut a deal- hopefully it still means some jail time.
The J 6 crowd and the core insurrectionists must be getting a little nervous right now. Good.

Anyone remember that photo from a few years ago of a small team of Trump staffers unloading half a dozen document boxes from a SUV, right next to the Trump 757? I can't find it.

Fixed it for her.
Maybe it's diff in Canada but here fed criminal law is kinda a national thing even tho state laws vary. I suspect that, procedurally speaking, they're effectively the same.

Everyone here and the other 350M souls thought Garland was slow on the uptake. And sure, he didn't want to be that guy but he is that guy. You and Sol can crack wise but we all saw what we saw. For almost six years T has spit in our faces and walked away with billions. Sure, NOW he's a billionaire! There was little detective work required. A cave man could see it.

I'd bet Repubs are sorry they blocked him from SCOTUS.

And this fuckstick is still running around loose?
He's not even orange!
What's odd about this is the FBI only recovered +- 300 classified documents. that leaves a hell of a lot of documents still out there. So unless we are not being told everything, which is understandable, this story is way bigger than anyone knows about and the indictment should tell us so much more.

I wonder if those idiots were stupid enough to send it DHL from traitor lago directly to Russia or whether they sent it to a "Trump" apartment in Saudi where it was "stolen" just before the apt flooded so it wasn't so obvious. How this con artist manipulated sworn members of the bar to lie, cheat, and steal is a question for the ages. What did/do they think might happen? Are they all just hoping to survive so another anti-american GOP nutjob becomes president and they get pardoned? At some point when they think its over they are all going to come running for plea deals. I bet Smith basically says to these folks, this is your only shot, plea now or scramble for lifeboats on the traitor ship Trump of which there are none.

At minimum, hundreds of pages have been stolen. Names, locations, passwords, pin numbers, and whatnot of our important stuff.

Mark Meadows Removed Classified Documents

Former president Donald Trump’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows, removed more than a thousand pages of classified documents from the White House late at night on the final evening of Trump’s presidency,” Murray Waas reports.

“A former top aide to Meadows has told investigators that they witnessed Meadows removing the records.”

“Meadows removed the records from the White House on the orders of Donald Trump, and occurred despite advice from White House attorneys that making public the records would circumvent the long established and official procedures in place for declassifying them.”

Something doesn't add up here, per above -who checks out classified documents by the page?
A WAG each classified doc has 10 Pages they found 300 docs (150 classified) at Merde el Lardo and of course we don't yet know how many were copied.
Bottom line any lesser person would be dead and buried by now.

Trump says he has been indicted
You got it.

Donald Trump indicted for second time, in classified documents investigation: Sources

Source: ABC News

Former President Donald Trump has been indicted for a second time, this time on federal charges in relation to his handling of classified information while out of office, sources familiar confirm to ABC News. He has been issued a summons to appear in federal court in Miami on Tuesday at 3 p.m. ET, sources said.

“We’re learning from our sources that there appears to be at least seven counts here. This ranges from everything from the willful retention of national defense information to conspiracy to a scheme to conceal to false statements and representations," ABC News' Katherine Faulders reported on during a special report on the network.

In a statement on social media, Trump wrote that he had been told of the indictment and insisted the case was a "hoax." He has repeatedly denied wrongdoing. He wrote that he is "INNOCENT."

The unprecedented federal indictment of a former president -- who already faces a criminal case in New York City that he denies and who is the current front-runner for the Republican Party's nomination for the White House in 2024 -- further underlines what are potentially the most consequential prosecutions in U.S. history, with implications both global and domestic.

IIRC word leaked out of the docs grand jury several weeks ago that the findings were going to blow everybody’s minds when the whip came down. May have been the J6 GJ, but pretty sure it was docs.

Trump broke his own record on the number of indictments served on a former President. I think this record will only stand for a month or two when he bests it again. Of course there will be an associated asterisk as it was drug-aided.
